Poll ~ 93-95 or 99 spec front end?

I was debating this the other day. To me I like the 93-95 spec because it just seems more fluent to the front. The 99 just is to edgey for me. + the 99 with out a lip looks like a half front end not even complete.

99 Spec all the way! Increased air for the radiator and oil coolers!

The stock 93-95 front without the R1 lip is not very attractive to me either. If those are my only 2 choices, 99 all the way....with the lip of course.

'99 spec, i HATE the stock turn signals, although if you're keeping it...get the upgraded lenses which make a HUGE difference.

Ill be going 99 spec soon so yeah go 99 spec.

Although if you do go 99, get the one with the plate holder. The one without the plate holder makes the front look cheap, like a mazda mx6 or something.

Huh?!

It's just a big brick stuck in the front end that interupts the lines. How does that equal "not cheap". You'd NEVER see that on any high-end sports car. I think it's just the opposite... the plate brick makes it look cheap.

Its quite simple.

The non plate holder looks like a front end off a "cheap" car.

And our cars are not high end/exotic so it shouldnt even be considered or copied as one.

I agree that the 99 front end with the holder looks better. I'll be happy once I recieve mine since I was in on the rx7 front plate gb. If you do decide to get the 99 front end. Remember to hit up wanklin on a front plate. The 99 front looks silly without a plate on it.

Thank you.

I mean it doesnt take much brains to know what looks good on a car, regardless if it "ruins" the lines if you even want to call it that.

OR

I searched the same color FD to fully determine what looks better.

And im still convinced the one with the plate holder looks better. Im sure 90% of you people agree with me.

If I had a 99 front end, I'd probably cut off the front plate section.

99 spec all the way. the 93-95 is still good looking, but the 99spec front keeps the FD's style looking fresh well into the new millenium, it doesn't even look dated.

i had the 99spec front end with the lip.... but i hate the way my car looks with a front plate.. also i dont like the idea of giving the police a target 2 aim at lol.. so i chose to stay with a 93front end with a 99spec lip. and NO front plate, but if i ever did change my mind and want 2 put a plate on the front of my 7 id definitly get a 99spec front bumper with plate holder

99 w/plate looks so much better with 99 w/out plate. 99 w/out plate looks like a smiley face miata or something. but regardless 99 over 93-95 by far.

I think we should just make this a poll of what looks better, 99 with plate or 99 without. LOL

From those pictures, the one with the plate looks good. Although I'd really like to see more pictures, I'd still probably wack off the front plate if I had 99 spec bumper.

I realize this is an aethetics question so there will be different opinions. . .but what are you guys smokin who like the license plate on the front end?? I think it is so ugly and ruins the beautiful lines of this car that if it were sold today and you couldn't get it without the license plate nose, I'd buy a different car! (Still have my '93 I drove off the lot with the original front and love it!)
