parallel turbos?

would it be practical to run parallel twin turbos? it seems that it would have the responsivness of a stock twin, and it could (?) support the power of a big single.

but would it cost too much?

You bet it will cost twice as much and it will probably be more laggy than the stock twins and could posibly make morepower than single. It all has to do with turbo selection (housings, comp. configuration ect.).

500 hp is posible, +1-2 sec. lag could be acomplished but it all has to do with what size turbo you pick. also you have to plan first what do you want to do with the car (drag, autocross, show) then you take it from there. To give you an ecenario- you both take of at the same time but the guys next to you has a single turbo and he reaches powerband 1 sec. faster jumping 3/4 car lenghts infront of you.... thats how 1/4 mile races are won..... just a thought

singles have more than 2 sec lag! the point of the parallel twins is that it has less lag, and can produce same amount of power, if not more.

Do you mean parallel as non-sequential?

There's a little lag from running parallel or non-sequential but it's not terrible. You can run a little more boost through parallel twins since they don't create quite as much heat as the aequential setup. There's more midrange and high-end power but low-end suffers a little. Running upgraded twins parallel (which I've seen only 1 other person on the forum do) would be like running a medium sized single.
