Omg!
The bolt used to hold the alternator adjustment bolt in place rattled itself loose and fell off while I was driving. This resulted in the alternator releasing all the pressure it had on the belt, cause both the alternator and the water pump to stop. Not 5 seconds after it started doing this I noticed my temps were on the red dash above H and I shut the car off right away. I replaced the bolt, tightened everything, refilled with coolant, and drove off. Drove about 20miles, boosting and holding high rpms. Temps are solid and Im not smoking nor having trouble warm starting it. Did I get lucky or could I still be in trouble with the coolant seals?

Okay, cold started it this morning with no problem. Again, no smoking. Idled fine. I sat there and watched the coolant to see if I could see any bubbles after I started it up. Nothing. It doesnt seem to be eating up coolant either. It looks like I might have just avoided an engine rebuild. Now the question is, did I completely avoid it, or could that quick surge of heat I put on my engine come back and haunt me later down the line? The funny thing is, the engine cooled down to below operating temps within a minute or so of me pulling over.

Above H? In 5 seconds? I have a hard time believing that. Unless you were boosting or something and even still. Best thing to do under that situation is instant shut off, and if someone honks at you, tell them "f*ck you, you pay for my new engine" lol. Good luck, I lost a motor to a coolant seal.

As for Spring, I have only seen one other rx7 while I've had mine. A yellow one on Luetta going toward 249. Kid looked about my age and we both just stared at each other with a huge grin as we passed going opposite directions. My little bro has metioned seeing a white one. Thats it. Chances are if you see a red rx7 with chrome stockers and dark as **** tint, thats more than likely gonna be me.
