Any oil is fine. Synthetic is best, really, but there is an ongoing debate about whether synthetic is safe for rotaries (though I have never seen or heard any credible evidence that it isn't) or if it is worth the extra cost (it is clearly better oil, but you still have to change it often and rotaries aren't failing from lack of lube, so it may not be worth it).

Many people use 20W-50 in warm climates. Mazda recommends 10W-30. Either one will work fine.

You couldn't find anything?

Just from the last year:

https://www.rx7club.com/search.php?searchid=1057263

Not to mention the fact that oil weight is covered in the owner's manual! Although, since they do say not to use synthetic, I'll give you the benefit of doubt by not trusting it...

Thick oil in the summer, thin oil in the winter. The wheel has already been invented.

it would probably have been better if wheels with spinning hub covers had not been.

i use castrol 20-50 but i live in texas. red line oil is good but expensive. i use those in the gear boxes.

You can also buy oil specifically designed for the rotary a.k.a. Mazdaspeed Rotary1 oil. Cost=$107.00 plus tax & shipping for a 4 liter can. (about enough for one oil change)

^WTF $107 for 4 liters --- the oil will have to be changed in 2-3k miles whether it says rotary oil or not.

That's like 22 liters of mobil 1 10-30 oil (what I use) and that stuff isn't cheap either.
