oil to use???

ok guys... im REALLY upset about this... i have about 2000 miles on my motor and tranny, im thinking this is a problem with my turbos but im not too sure... i was on my way home from work when i noticed my turbos (stock sequtential) were sounding kinda weird... then i notice that at ideal that my oil pressure is almost at zero... so im thinking oil leak from the turbos... so im wondering what oil to use... and then i will figure out what is up and if i have a leak...

Before that, check/clean the oil sending unit. It has a tendancy to get dirty and send bad readings (or just fail completely).

Just use 10w30, good dino juice or good synthetic (Castrol GTX or Mobil 1 are good choices). Some people in hotter climates like yours run 20w50 instead, but 10w30 is the factory recommendation.

BTW, a good synthetic oil will not harm your engine and is better for your turbos than dino juice....

Your in tampa you'll probably wanna run 20-50. Over here in texas we use Amsoil 20-50 Synthetic Race oil.

I was running Castrol for a few years... and kept fouling the plugs. Changed to Mobil 1 and have not had issues with plugs at all.

Also Ari at Rotary Performance says to say away from Castrol... it's garbage for our rotarys!

It's funny.. My oil pressure gauge almost never worked, or would go from 0 to the top and back again every time I hit the gas..

But since I got my car back from the shop it's been working perfectly.

Granted it's only been 200 miles, but still...

I second the 20-50 motion.

I recently switched to Redline 20W 50, it's hotter than hell here in Cali nowadays that's why I'm not going with 10W 30.
