Non Seq. Dyno Sheet

With all the interest in going non-sequential lately, I thought it'd be good to show what the power curve looks like. Here's mine. Mods are CB, DP, intake, FMIC, and AVC-R, set at 10psi. Done in 3rd gear.

Exclamation

Am I reading your chart incorrectly, or was your A/F higher than 13.0 in the low RPMs?

What mods are on that car? I'm wondering if my FD's dyno would look like with a car w/ similar mods

jpecracer7 - those dynos were with the following performance mods on a 94 touring, original engine & turbos, 34k miles.

Apexi Power Intake
M2 Downpipe
SS Midpipe
Greddy Power Extreme Exhaust
HKS Twin Power
Denso Fuel Pump
PFC w/commander - basemod map minus a bit of fuel.

more details & dyno graphs in my recent thread here:

Definitely much smoother than a sequential car. Wonder why the dip in power though in the 5-6K area? Nice numbers for stock boost and your mods.

We have the same mods except that I don't have the HKS twin power. My map has been running fine(slightly rich however), so I may try your map out. I'll just use your map from the previous thread since I already have datalogit. Thanks!

My next project is to tweak some more of that dip out by adjusting pre-control, etc with the datalogit. I'll post my successes/failures as I play with it to help the rest of you out!

dr. wankel - a HKS twinpower will eliminate most of that upper RPM breakup and pick you up a few more HP. It is a 5 minute install, yet a bit pricy. You can FEEL how much smoother it is, I hit rev limit (8100rpm) a few times the first week after I installed it because it felt so much smoother I didn't think I was rev'ing so high.

http://flathat.woodstream.net/RX7/Dy...o-runs-3-6.jpg (before HKS, w/high flow cat)
http://flathat.woodstream.net/RX7/Dyno/P4210121.JPG
(with HKS, replaced high-flow cat with midpipe)

These two dynos were taking 3 days apart (as you can see from the dates). The only differences between the two days on my car are as indicated above. Mods were as I stated earlier in this thread, not what are in my sig now.

Dr. Wankel, how the heck did you get those numbers with the mods you have? What amount of boost were you pushing?
I have dp, hi flow cat, cb, intake, ecu and only got 288rwhp @ 12psi.

What other information can you get out of a dyno run aside from the hp/torque curves(if any)? As you can tell I've never done one before.

MDoMe7 - If the dyno you use has a wideband O2, the most valuable part of a dyno is your air:fuel ratio.

On this Dyno sheet, you'll see the a/f ratio on the bottom graph.
http://flathat.woodstream.net/RX7/Dy...o-runs-3-6.jpg

a/f is VERY important - run too rich you loose power, run too lean you POP your engine.
