CA No crank !!! Fd rx7

Whats up everybody, I am now dealing with the car not wanting to turnover SMH I turn the key and all I get is a click. Ive started it once and something is interrupting the signal to the ignition or starter. I bypassed both clutch safety switches and still nothing. Everything lights up as normal, I hear the fuel bump but no firing or turning over. I've have jumped the starter from a separate power source and it cranks over no problem. Came someone much wiser and knowledgeable please help me figure this out. I do see a security window on my center counsel not sure of this is factory, if so can you please point me in the right direction to eliminate the security system on the FD permanently. If possible I'd also like some in depth information on that system, it location and what it controls. Thank you

...or poor grounds, poor connections or weak battery.

Do a search using the term ‘click’ in titles only. 101 threads but the first 3 or 4 will probably be enough.

If you do hear the starter click that means it's getting something. If you turn the key and the lights dim but there's no click then it's not getting any signal at all.

I'd put a multimeter on the small gauge wire going to the starter and have a friend go to crank the car. See what voltage you are getting there.

Do you have a battery relocation? I've seen many battery relocations that have had starting/charging problems due to poor wiring, poor grounds, etc.

Could also just need Banzai's starter booster. Or, also possible the starter is just dead and needs to be replaced. If you just want to throw some money at the problem get the upgraded starter from Banzai and their starter booster.
