Lately I have been having trouble starting my 7. When I turn the key nothing happens. I have to turn the key several times before the starter will engage. I am wondering if this is an electrical problem or the starter.

 

does the starter click when it doesn't turn? Do the warning lights come on when the key is turned to the on position? If they do, I'd guess starter issues (try cleaning the wires) if that doesn't help any, try a different starter. But if your warning lights don't come on when you turn the key, then I'd think the ignition switch was having issues (have come accross this before)
