Wow .

You had such a nice FD, too.

I am very happy that your girlfriend is alright, she is obviously more important to you than any car can ever be.

Having said that, I will *never ever ever ever* let anyone (with the exception of my father) drive my FD without me riding shotgun. PERIOD.

Nope. If I was working on your car that was running fine before, then suddenly it was running like crap, wouldn't you quickly come to the conclusion (or at the least the idea) that it was my fault? Or would you call that overanalysis?
good point however you just compared 2 totally different things..one being an on point assumption..of course we have to assume its your fault if you are working on my car and it was running good before i brought it to you..

this is totally different, she explained a story and we are trying to nit pick every single detail she explained to make believe it wasnt true what she said..

now i prob dont know the whole story, she prob added some other details.. i have to check the other pages i prob missed..

Although it is true that men drive more miles, it is a fact that men drive faster, and more agressively than women. "Men" includes all males that are licensed to drive. You are correct that the younger males cause more accidents due to inexperience and higher risk maneuvers. Even so, as they get older they still drive faster and more agressively than women.

*sigh* You're missing my point. The analogy is that I didn't sit there and "nitpick every single detail"; just looked at the facts from the "testimony" laid out, and then made an assumption, not "overanalyzing" everything with a magnifying glass. "Overanalysis" would be someone taking up a complete page of a thread with details....

That said, it is an assumption, so I could be wrong. And that said, this horse was dead a long time ago....

That's what I meant honey.

I just this tingling feeling that you just did a quick search on my miniscule posts for a quick friend/foe assessment.

no, we don't understand, but I agree this horse is beat to a bloody pulp

give it a rest guys. it's really sad you have to argue about something that you weren't there for or even know anyone involved. assuming **** will get you nowhere. i think kayla pretty much explained the majority of it. if you guys would like to further analyze what happened, please apply to the st. matthews police department in louisville, kentucky. i'm sure they'd love how you can figure out exactly what happened hundreds or even thousands of miles away.

the reason i posted the pics were more or less to show people who enjoyed the car to know what had happened to it. to my knowledge it was a pretty well known car and obviously people cared about it. and no, i don't think i'm getting another FD. at least not anytime soon. i don't want to just slap all my parts on another one just to be building in the shadow of the previous one. i'm just going to part it out, get out of debt, and figure out what to do from there. so if anyone needs some parts, i'll be posting a list of what i have soon. i don't even have the car back from the insurance company yet, nor has it even been settled. i will know something tomorrow however

I agree. At some point though when a car moves into my lane, I move over as far as I can, I run out of room and strike the guard rail, I come off the guard rail and cross 2 lanes of traffic, I cross the median, I cross 2 more lanes of oncoming traffic and then I hit another guard rail, at some point in all that mess I may consider using the brakes.

Only vehicles in the vicinity were the FD and the old lady that tried to merge into the FD. Not just any old lady, a handicapped old lady.

I'm surprise that non of the boys have asked her for her picture.

This is a first when a gal appears on the forum.

Yeah, you'd think so.

Only vehicles in the vicinity were the FD and the old lady that tried to merge into the FD. Not just any old lady, a handicapped old lady.
I think PhoenixDownVII was talking about a hypothetical situation where someone merging into your lane couldn't be avoided. I scanned the thread again and couldn't find any mention of any other cars in the immediate vicinity. In fact, spoolin93r1 said...

"there weren't any witnesses close enough to clearly make out the other car."
https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...5&postcount=15

But later, he says...

"there were witnesses around the accident to attest to the story."
https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...&postcount=107

So which is it? Regardless, using the brakes might have been a good idea.

Give it a ******* rest, for christs sake. what happened happened, no way to change it now so quit tryin to say what "could" have been done, because it wasn't done and there isn't anyway to go back in time and change it. Good god.

oh, and the probability of you people seeing pics of me are slim to none, considering you'd probably pick it apart the way you've done everything else. I think I've been criticized enough in this thread.

Spoolingrl,

I have no comment about fault in the accident, and I'm glad you are OK. This has been a very traumatic experience for you and your boyfriend, and it will take time to heal. I suggest that the next part of your healing process should be to STOP READING THIS THREAD. Nothing good will happen if you continue to participate here. It will only cause you more grief and aggravation.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Good point, which goes right back to my initial observation regarding the wisdom of posting this whole thing in the first place. Or perhaps, telling the "story" of the events leading to the accident. I guess the proverb "All things happen for a reason" may be somewhat apropos here....

Spoolingrl,
Glad your OK and sorry you were envolved in an ACCIDENT. It happens to everyone but Jimlab.

Never take anything personally from people you don't know and good luck building up the next FD.
