So we have a 17 year old moderator that doesn't know ****. And he is now attempting to moderate in the 3rd gen section ....... where he obviously doesn't belong. Perhaps he should be given a little time off...........

sorry to hear about the FD and your girl. At least she wasn't seriously injured and will recover. That was one clean FD though.

I feel like after reading this i took defensive driving.

Sorry for your losses. Again, more importantly i'm glad to know that your girlfriend is ok. I too also know what it feels like to loose something you love.

Anyone else remember the thread this summer where some guy asked for ECU tuning advice and Polak told them to buy a wideband, tune 'till it pings, and then back off a little? I was searching for that thread also, but couldn't find it. I swear I replied to it, but I searched all my previous posts and it was not there. I wonder if it was deleted by a moderator or something?

They gave him moderator status so that he could edit the posts in his own forum.

just found out, the insurance is giving me $17,900 for the car and they're figuring up how much buy-back will be by friday. hopefully i'll have the car in my posession this weekend. for those requesting parts, give me time to get the car home and inspect everything and i'll try to get back to you when i can.

Remember that everything is negotiable. A buy back offer is a starting point, so don't accept it if you think it is too high.

How much do you pay on the buy back, anyway? It must be some small percentage given the "current condition" of the car, right?

Would it work out like this:

1) ins. co. gives spoolin his $17.9k
2) spoolin buys the car from Insurance co -- $XX?

So now Spoolin has the car + $17.9k - $XX, with XX being a much smaller amount than the $17.9k?

Hey okay the first one was technically my fault the the latest one a guy ran a stopsign. The damage isn't all that bad anyway, just need some front body panels and to straighten the frame in front of the front suspension. Still drives fine.
