You're right. After taxes that would bump it over the 50k mark. But that's only if you pay sticker price.

Well, we're not talking about the deal Zeke got his cousin Bubba before he'd sold cars to all his friends missing teeth and lost his job at the dealership...

You're right we're talking about the deal that Zeke got jimlab.

I only mentioned that because most anyone can negotiate a few thousand off the asking price and thus bring the final price closer to the near $45,000 estimate I mentioned earlier.

Not quite. With 8.8% sales tax, gas guzzler tax, luxury tax (no longer applicable), and license (which was over $1,000 back then), I ended up paying over $40k for the car anyway, despite knocking a few thousand off the sticker.

The dealer is asking for $50k for the car on Autotrader (the ebay auction for the car started at $37k and ended at $37k, and didn't hit the reserve price)

Thumbs down

Well, here it is the day after Christmas, and the car's still on Ebay!!! Bid is $35,000 and Reserve still isn't met.

It's also on traderonline - asking price is $50,000 - guess that's the reserve???

You'd think they'd send a limo to the insane asylum to pick up that bozo who bid $35k for a planejane 95.

This is obviously just a scam to get free advertizing for their dealership!!

The only thing that sale really has going for it is the buyer is gonna have the full factory warranty from Mazda...and I think it would be REAL smart if they purchased an extended warranty, for as long as possible. It's not worth paying an additional 20 grand tho...
