I might regret buying an FD 9 months ago, more than doubling the price in mods when I could have waited and gotten a Lotus Elise. I will have to see one and drive one in person before I can say that for sure. I realy like my FD but that car has me second guesing just a little bit. Oh, I also took a spin around the track in a stock Z06, very impressive, just not sure I could live with the styling and how I see them everywhere.

You could have had an Elise and you passed it up?? Did you have a spot in line? If so you should have at least sold your reservation on eBay.

Ya know, I start down the road thinking "the M2 stage 2 is all I'll need because I'm not planning on upgrading anything outside of that scope..." and now I'm thinking if I had only spend a few hundred more, I could have more flexibility.... and probably a little bit more power and still be reliable! When I get to the point I want to do more (notice I said WHEN not IF... which is why the regret is starting to kick in!), I can now spend more money than I had when I just got the M2!

I regret putting polyurethane engine mounts in, I went back to stock mounts with an engine brace/dampner and now I'm much happier, couldn't deal with the vibrations for everyday driving, it was driving me nuts.

I am not sure If i WILL regret the mods that I am doing.

The roll cage is tough but I can deal with it.

The twinturbo setup is yet to be tested (twin t04 turbos)

I love my solid engine mounts, i love my 6puck clutch, and I love my torque brace. My car didnt rattle at all, I think everybody else is crazy!

The one thing i DO regret is just not leaving it at the t04s single. I would have gotten to drive my car on a very streetable level and have fun with it. It's been down for so long ebcause of the twinturbo project and i miss driving it!

-Apexi N1 D exhaust
-trying to use a GM electric airpump with the stock cat (Nothing like the smell of $100+ being incinerated in less than 10 minutes . . . twice).
-Not switching to a single turbo sooner
-10ohm resistors with low impedance injectors
-Miata battery

I regret buying my car in the first place... I've wasted soooooo much money on it.

The sad thing is I love it every second I'm in it...and it just makes me want to spend more money on it!

That's the second time I've read that...are the urethane motor mounts THAT bad? They're super expensive too! Or are they just real good for the motor, and horrible for ride quality?

That's why I always say do it once, do it right. Plan for tomarrow, for "What if," cuz w/ the FD, it's a never-ending obssession Thank God, I haven't done a mod that I regret (yet) hehe. Read threads like this that saved me before I dropped the mulah

EDIT: Not true...I regret going w/ 10s in the rear when they now have 10.5s...
