Mods you regret?

I regret the noisy KAAZ unit. Even with LSD additive it is too noisy.

skunks 04-14-04 02:43 PM

Midpipe. I'm DEAF and I get chased around by kids all day wanting autographs...

FormerPorscheGuy 04-14-04 03:04 PM

Dropping my car to the deck. I have everything to raise it back up but have been too laze to install it.

areXseven 04-14-04 03:05 PM

....Hmmm......I regret not taping any episodes of The Mod Squad. Then again, VCR's weren't invented yet. :)

Gargamel 04-14-04 03:25 PM

i regret making mine so fast......

it's just too much for me.

fastcarfreak 04-14-04 03:26 PM

i regreted not plumbing the wastegate to the downpipe to begin with. Now it is done and so much better. Yeah the kaaz unit does suck ass when making turns under load, but its definately worth it. I felt a decent power gain switching over.

spyfish007 04-14-04 03:54 PM

Non-sequential!!! When I did that mod I hated it. Sequential is so much nicer. No, no, I am not trying to start something, just one man's opinion.

Bah... With your fat-ass in it you should slow it down enough a smurf could handle it. ;) :p: :D

I regret paying for BS mail order tuning 2 times. If only Steve would have been traveling and we would have had Datalogit's back then.

BTW - That BS tuning cost me 2 engines. But I didnt know shit about tuning back then. That was like 2 years ago and there wasnt as much info on the net about tuning.

XSTransAm 04-14-04 04:24 PM

i regret purchasing the car with a loan :(

adam c 04-14-04 04:45 PM

I regret installing a prespool controller to try and increase my boost transition. I tried for over a month to get the two manual controllers to work together, with no success. My boost never did work properly with that POS hooked up. I finally wound up removing the pre-spool controller. I wish I had never installed it.

Godzilla-T78 04-14-04 05:00 PM

I regreted the tranny brace. It rattled my teeth out so it got removed and sold it off to the highest bidder.

Was it completely solid or have some sort of bushing?

Fd3BOOST 04-14-04 05:52 PM

It was a solid one. It pretty much made the car unbearably rattly.
