M2 intake install

Hi all... need a lil help and advice.
Installing M2 intake right now and m2 medium intercooler later.
I'm putting the filters in but there's barely any space. How you install in the upper filter without crushing the bottom filter?
Thanks in advance

You should be able to slide it in in an angle.

If you orient the lower filter so that it's angle is straight down, you should be able to nose-in, and slide back the top filter without much interference. It's tight in there. What K&N filter numbers are you using?

I finally realized the filters were angled . Still a tight fit but fit.
Now the other hoses aren't filtered as it's a cold air intake box. Is that ok for the other hoses? The box is open at the bottom under the filters

Yes, that's fine. Those hoses release charged air, and tend not to inhale anything.

To jump in on this, If you are not using the top hoses in the M2 airbox and they are left open wouldnt they draw in how engine bay air instead of cool air from down low? Should they be capped off, or have hoses ran down to a level where the opening is at the bottom?

They should be blocked off, if not used. There are quality silicone caps. Some people use chair leg rubbers, which will disintegrate.
