JyRO fixed my boost creep!!!
Thanks rev. If I could ever save up the money to get the body properly fixed on my car, then I'd focus on fixing spike. And dressing up my engine. I've got a large income tax refund, but half of it's going to pay for the 52" LCD HD TV I bought last November!

Hey JyRO, I applaud you for enabling power seekers a method of bolting on a full open exhaust. I once fabricated those plates myself and was using a 2.25" opening to provide enough back pressure to control my boost. Wonderful how a small pinch point in a 3" exhaust can do that. I believe that choking down the air intake to the turbos would do it too, though, that would make the turbos work harder and we would probably run more rich.
As was said, you get rid of the heavy main cat. convertor and really open up the flow. Got to agree though, the best thing to do is to port the wastegate but, only if you have to take out the turbos.

Thanks Chamelon - I agree, taking out the turbos and porting the wastegate from a mechanical standpoint would be the best answer (I believe). But, there's a large price in doing that, including elbow grease and actually money to get this job done properly. I don't believe in doing things halfway.
But, for those of us who do not have the time or money for this, or don't have the time or money for this *right now* these plates are 100% effective, easy as pie, and extremely cost effective to get this done.
If someone on here is leaning out their burn by creeping their boost, they may likely be loosing power with an innefficient AFR. And doing permanent damage to their engines at the same time. I love these cars, I love their engines. I'm doing my part to preserve them (a real humanitarian!
). And with the properly sized restrictor plate your car overall will likely make more top end power, and not have the weight of a cat, no where near the restriction of a cat, or the concern of the cat going bad.
Again, porting the wastegate would be the ultimate best way. But my restrictor plates are a hell of a 2nd option.

JyRo are you still making and selling plates? I recently bought a 94 that the previous owner had installed a dp an mp on and i'm moderately worried about boost creep. Been driving cautious and slow till I get money for gauges to hook up.
