This is with the latest price hike that was reported yesterday?

 

Guys the price just doubled yesterday. The MSRP went up to $13,546.89, new club price through Ray is $9200.00. I just got off the phone with Mazda Motorsports and they are not selling them any longer.

 

Price hike? Should be coming down I thinking Mazda is just about caught up. This came from me speaking with a reputable Mazda man 2 days ago, or was it yesterday? Hmmmm....I can get one from Mazda 5600 to my door in under 3 weeks. I don't get all this 7,8, 10k stuff.... I really don't get the excuses for these guys waiting for months....

 

I talk to Mazda Motorsport rep myself yesterday morning, not taking this info from anyone. Ray Crowe also confirmed the new price, maybe you should double check? BTW, if you check, the short block PN is NLA on Mazda Motorsport.

 

1338 (1:38 pm est) yesterday was my phone call with Ray. I got quoted 5600 to my door... price was around 5200. Maybe he mis-spoke?

 

?? Ray and ai had a huge misunderstanding then. We are speaking about a 13B REW correct?



It took a whole 1 and a half minute and I reiterareiterated all the massive prices put there.. maybe this is before these other calls?
He stated Mazda is pretty much caught up. This is what I understood.

 

He didn't know until last night. We were texting at 8:30pm

 

So they went from almost caught up to they are not producing them?

 

Wow, so IR can just reimburse everyone enlight of all this new information?

 

I doubt they were almost caught up, Mazda Motorsport rep said BO number is 45 as of yesterday, and they stop taking order.

 

What makes you say they are not producing them? Last I spoke with Mazda Motorsports there were 60 on BO, they will not be offering them anymore. I was informed they "might" bring them back but the price will be considerably higher

 

Sorry, I should have said I have also heard from someone else they halted production. Not offering them anymore can also be interpreted as not producing them anymore. I assume you mean Mazda Motorsport ls themselves will not be offering them anymore?

Insane how quickly things can change.

So basically anyone who had them ordered before and put their money in is most definitely screwed at this point..... sorry to hear all that. Terrible.

 

Dealers will still sell them, the Motorsports division is not offering them any longer. I know I filled all my orders and I have 1 of the 60 coming to me as an extra.

 

They removed the short block PN from the part store, we don't know if they'll bring it back or not, but if they do it will be a lot higher than the old price.

Mazda should still fulfil the order they received before October, they just won't take any new one.

Given the price increase, if I had ordered one through a reseller such as in the original post, I would be very interested in seeing if the reseller has actually placed the order with Mazda or just taken the money. i.e., if they took $X from you, but not paid that to Mazda, their price is likely now $2X or so. You can see where that is going...

Ask them for a Mazda PO and check it with Mazda (don't know if Ray or other friendly person can check that or if you need to go to a dealer or Mazda corporate? (Maybe post it here or DM other people in the same boat so they aren't using the same PO # for everyone.)

If anything doesn't pass the smell test, get an attorney and have them send a demand letter for return of your money. And be prepared to sue. Which will suck but consider your choices

And if they do refund, it's gonna likely be first come first serve if anyone gets refunded.

I have been through something somewhat similar with a different car and unfortunately it only gets worse as time goes on. Rip the bandaid off.

Guess I happened to jump on the motorsport page just before shtf

with the recent huge price hike and availability issue, IRP is now going to be in a pickle. Can see this escalating to a fraud lawsuit/investigation quickly now because the “it’s on order” excuse rug was just pulled out from under them. Lawyer up!

Hey guys i hate to join this thread, but is IRP still in business? I've been waiting on a haltech ECU bracket for about 4 months now and no one has responded to me, no emails, just a "order received!" initial email in June.

Why? I’m still on the engine that came with the car 13yrs ago, what’s there to worry? And I have 2 new engines coming from Mazda… Not sure what you are doing that you need to worry

 

I last heard from him on 10/3 and he was saying that they could break in my engine for me (whenever my build is done) to prevent me from having to pick the car up, break it in, and then bring it back for tuning.

I haven't seen them post on any social media for a month though.
