I'm back

My FD has been parked in a garage for about 10 years, and stored improperly. Hopefully I can get this thing going again this summer without some major overhaul due to my neglect. I look forward to learning all over again as I've forgotten just about everything I knew about this thing. Cheers.

Awesome! Welcome back!

I would take some time with ALL the fluids on the car. Drain and refill EVERYTHING, especially the gas tank.

I would get a little oil into the motor and turn it over by hand. Put some new plugs in, pull the EGI fuse, and crank the engine with the starter until you have oil pressure. Fuse back in and go for a start.

Get a new battery as well, no sense trying to monkey with a 10 year old battery.

Brakes will likely need attention as well.

Good luck! It's a great feeling to get it running again!

Dale

Mine has been sitting unstarted and neglected since 2012. Does not look like it, but it is a seriously molested 1993 R1 with only 56k miles. Will be resurrected shorty.

Welcome back! I remember your VR, lovely car. Not much to add, sound advice from Dale as always .

New tires would probably be a good idea.

Thanks fellas. Made a trip to talk to Ihor at IRP and got some great advice as usual. Hopefully this doesn't cost me a fortune!
