idle problem/ tps?vacum??

ok, ive been having this idle problem eversince i installed my used tps sensor .... the reason why i replaced it because the old tps cracked .... so that gave me a little rev up and down .... so i installed the tps with no adjustments .. and i also have one of the 02 sensor unplugged which i found out earlier .....so here are the problems ....

it revs (vroom vroom) up and down ....1000-3000 rpm / back and forth
some times it revs up to 2500 rpm and stays ....
hold the clutch and have it in gear ...its stays 1500 rpm and vibrates the car ....

and when first start up ..[cold weather] its trys to rev to warm up .it make sounds like [ puff puff puff puff] and totally vibrates the car ..... thats only the first start of the day in cold weather when im going to work .... and when im gettin off in the afternoon it be warm.......it revs up normal like to 3 rpm then when it finishes ... it revs up and down ....

if someone can give me some ideas what can it be ..let me know please..

I would check the adjustment on the TPS first.

The first thing to do then is to check the code on the CEL. That may answer the question to your problem.

Yep, it's your TPS. Adjust it when engine is fully warmed up. Cel is your check engine light. If you jump the pins (diagnostic box) ten and ground, then turn your key on, count the light flashes. Look up code, I bet you'll find that your TPS reading is off.

Do a search on TPS adjustment (a lot of tutorials) also reference your shop manual for voltage range. If you adjust it within spec and it is still revving up and down, try adjusting voltage a little higher but keep it within spec.

Did you adjust when engine is all the way warmed up? Look at ISC, may have to clean, (behind UIM towards firewall), take a peek around for vacuum leaks.

yes the engine was warmed up .... between cold and hot ...we took out the idle air control and cleaned it.. still revs up and down ...

ISC???

theres a whole bunch of vacums that been plugged and some are still laying around ... if i take close pictures of the engine bay .....would you be able to tell???

theres this one guy that i brought my fd to get worked on couple years ago.... he put 2mm carbon apex seals , and ported the exhaust side ... he eliminated alot of vacumms and i have no clue what it all does ...

ISC is the Idle Speed Control, there's a picture lingering around the forum, if you don't know what it looks like. Sounds like your "idle air control" may be the ISC, I would verify that it is. Check resistence of ISC to make sure it's still good, when I last cleaned mine, I ran 12v through it and filled the chamers with WD40 to lubricate it. Do you have a PFC? I noticed when I had the same idle revving issues, the TPS was within spec, but the PFC still didn't like it. I had to adjust the TPS to a higher voltage value before the PFC would idle normal.

Taking pictures of the rats nest won't tell us if there's a minor crack in the vaccum hose. Unless you have a hose not plugged in.
