hey guys bought a 84 fb gsl with a 12a in it carb was off and the previous owner removed rats nest and most vacum line what bare vacum line have to be hooked up for it to run and what fuel presure for the carb cause it has a after market pump a holley 255lph dont want it flooding. thanks for in advice in advance.

i believe Jeff20B recommends running 2.5 PSI on the Nikkis now and he is an accomplished authority on the subject. so i would say start there and see how it goes.

 

When I still had a nikki on my FB the only vacuum lines I had were the vacuum advance, brake booster, and PCV, everything else was blocked off.

As for fuel pressure, diabolical1 is correct, around 2.5psi seems to be where they're happiest. Anything over 3.5-4psi will overwhelm the needle and seat in my experience.

 

Vacuum advance to 2nd nipple from the left on carb spacer. Cap off all others. Pcv to nipple on manifold down low. Brake booster to big nipple on rear of mani. And off you go!
