I got a question.
When i took my fd for a ride the other night, I kind of felt like it doesn't have all the power it used to.
It still boosts 10 psi and the vacuum is between 16-18. When i floor it it just feels like there is some kind of obstruction. It feels like it's not pulling as it should.
I don't know maybe i'm wrong, i haven't been driving it for a week or so. Yesterday when i took it for a ride i drove it for 30min with no boost and after it warmed up properly then i did some boost tests.
I just don't know what to check. Maybe i'm just beeing paranoid. I still have stock main cat. Other than that you can look at my signature. Any input? Thanks

don't race, don't need to
I have the same relative problem. Boosts fine, seems to lack punch that it has on other occaisons. Exhaust leak? I sure smell exhaust from the turbo area during warmup. Hmmm...

It could just be that you are getting too used to the car and it doesn't "feel" as fast.

hehe, Maybe i am getting used to it but then again, when i drive my girlfriends honda and go back to my fd, i still feel that it's not as fast as it used to be.
I changed my clutch in september so i'm pretty sure it's not slipping.
Anybody else has any thoughts.
I think i should change my spark plug cables. I have new spark plugs but cables are still stock. Sometimes on that pfs thing i get that error code that the wires are messed up.
Thanks

weird. I have the same feeling. Only problem is, that I dont know what my boost is at, so I may have more probs. with that, like my intake couplings or something. But my stock turbos have been rebuilt, so I dont see how there could be any boost loss, and the vacuum lines have all been replaced. Maybe I am used to the car, and it doesnt feel as fast as it used to be. Speaking of intake couplings however, is it okay to change out those clamp type pain in the *** ones to screw type clamps? The ones on the stock airbox are really annoying to get back on, and the one from the y-pipe to the crossover pipe seems to be loose, eventhough its a screw type bracket.

i changed all of mine clamps to the ones that you can screw. It's pretty easy and i don't see how these could fall off.
I guess i'll just go for a dyno and see what's up. Anything i should know about doing dyno? This will be my first time.
Thanks

Check your RPMs when you are accelerating. If they are shooting up but the car doesn't seem to be "catching", your clutch could be slipping.
