Hopefully someone will answer this question. Is a peripheral ported 13B N/A drivable on the streets?

They are very streetable. It just depends on how they were tuned. There are plenty of stock engines that aren't streetable because of bad tuning.

I plan to get a peripheral housing and Weber 48mm. But I need to get this car to be a daily driver. Have you guys heard of peripheral engines idling at 2000+ rpm?

I've owned and dalily drove a couple of them. If Rob is building your motor, chances are you're going to be using a 51mm webber. And, yeah they usually idle around 2k. CJ

I heard that mileage is just abolutely horrible on those things.

I was also wondering if anyone had a video clip of that car running and/or a dyno chart that they could put up on the forum. I heard a lot of guys claiming they get 240rwhp with PP, but never saw a solid proof of it being done.

I have solid proof, but no scanner. For overall driving, i got somewhere around 16-19mpg out of the 13Bs and a 24mpg out of the 12a on a road trip.

The exaust is going to be very important to the sound/volume of the car. And it will also be a determinng factor if you're going to try kill yourself in the first week or two. They can be semi-quite, with the right exaust, or plain old defining with the wrong one. CJ
