Yea.... agreed. I like mine so much, I bought something TOTALLY different about a month ago (a second RX-7). Early '79 SA. Low miles and bone stock. Much more of a 'cruiser' than the FD. More of a nostalgic ride, but still a blast to drive!!! Part of my "bookends" RX-7 experience!

29, web designer. Second FD. Spent maybe 5k so far on this second FD -- nothing on the first.
I was reading the first few posts in this thread in 01. Crazy to think that was 14 years ago. Wonder what some of those people are doing now, and if they still have their FD's.
What's different from now and then? So many questions!

I am 26 years old. I work in corporate banking and in the past I worked in Aerospace. I have had my FD since 2008. I have rebuild the engine and have put a single turbo on it since that time.

35 now, work for a local Mercedes Benz dealer as a SA.
Had my R1 since May, havent spent money on anything but fluids since it's bone stock.
Grew up in a Mazda family with RX7s in the 80s in Qatar/Dubai.
After seeing enough exotics and high end cars working for Mercedes, i wouldn't change a thing about owning my FD. Plan to keep it for as long as i can keep it
