24. Owner/operator of a roofing business. FD is by far the most fun car I've owned ever. Getting used to the 360hp it puts out, it's all ready for a ported block (big single etc) which I'll do after I've run it in down the quarter a few times.

26 years old, attorney. I've had my FD for about 7 months (traded in an RX8 I'd owned for four years, all the while kicking around the idea of going turbo and eventually making the right choice to trade).

I was 12 when this thread started, 22 now. Been an FD owner for 3 years with a 2 month gap around the 1 year mark when the first one was totaled. I'm surprised I haven't posted in here before.

I'm 25 going on 12. I'm a Network Technician and I manage many business' networks. I've always loved 7's and I've been a proud owner for about 3 years now. I spend about 2-3k a year on the car right now, but I've been doing work.

that is true but generally you do make more money in california.

after moving to vegas and looking for alternatives to if the business doesn't work out, i almost NEVER see anyone advertise a pay scale and if they do it is a rediculous low rate like $15/hour. i feel like driving to these shops and spitting on the ground in front of their shop, no one is going to spend $10k on schooling +3 years, $20k on tools and continued effort in schooling to make $15/hour while doing physical labor where the standard now is $25-30/hour in most areas for a qualified automotive technician.

i won't waste an ounce of my energy applying for a position while only being guaranteed somewhere in the neighborhood of $15 per hour fixing cars that the shop is charging $100+ per hour to repair. they can eat a dick. i'd rather walk around downtown in a security uniform watching the homeless people wash their feet in the fountains for $13/hour which requires almost no effort. so in the end you'll have your car serviced by an illegal immigrant, because that is what this state is all about.

26 now, purchased at 18. Always wanted an FD since I first saw one on the original Gran Turismo. Was in Real Estate until the market crashed and now I'm a Mechanic at Boeing. Only spend enough money to cover 1 tank of gas for the one weekend a year I currently drive it. It's not licensed at the moment ans hasn't been for a few years now. Keeps me from spending money on it
