wow old thread ... but here goes.

I'm 24, I do Internet Marketing & Sales for a computer hardware company. I've had my piston powered FD for about 2 years (after being a Honda guy since I was 16) and currently building a fx35 for the wife to carry the kid around in style.

I'm 18. Had the FD for about 5 months now. I'm just going into University now (science major) so money is a little tight, but I spend as much as I feel the need to, right now its about a couple hundred, just to keep her running. Plan to spend some more as soon as I get another job.

I'm 53. My son bought an FD about 5 years ago. Loved working on it with him. I bought mine 3 years ago for $8000.00. Spent about $8k more on it since then. Been self employed my whole life starting then selling businesses. Was always a bike nut but in 2002 put my Honda CBR 929 into a tree and spent 6 months in a wheel chair. The FD fulfills my need for speed in a "safer way" than the bike. Funny thing about age...having toys like a FD keeps you young.

59, bought my 93 CYM R1 in 1998.

I own a theatrical services business. I've spent about $1000 I guess, just on shocks and catback exhaust.

I'm 43 years old.

I got the very first RX-7 when the first came out in 83.

Had the 1st Generation for 16 years.

I had 3 RX-7s. Sold one in 2007.

Now down to 2 RX-7s and 1 MX-3.

I find it extremely theraputic spending time with my cars.

After being in too many relationships that did'nt work out. When I get lonely I spend time with my 3 women.

RX-7s keep you young.

I'm 24. Female.

Med student.........Gonna be an MD, at least to start. Will probably go for a few more years and get into pediatric neurosurgery.

I received my first 7, an 86 NA, for my 16th birthday. But I sold it.
Then I picked up an 87 T2. Still have it.
Then an 88 GXL. Still have it, too.
Then a 93 FD.... its in my sig. Still have it.
I also have a 2008 Mazda 6 and a 2005 Ford Explorer (for winter driving).
The 6 is my daily driver. All 3 of the 7s are just to play with.

29 male,
Programmer.
Picked up my first 7 (also my first car along with being the first manual car I've ever driven) last year in 8/08.

So far I have put around 4k miles on it and havent seen it in months (its being painted and 99 specd). I've put in at least 15k into it since I've gotten it. There is something magical about these cars and I don't regret putting that much money into the car at all. People will never understand until they own and drive one.

26 years of age and while driving a fd may make you younger, owning several will age you at an extremely accelerated rate

David,

Since I bougth my 3rd FD from you, you should should definately feel younger.

You have a good point. FDs are high maintenance. Like a lot of women.

Strange, it seems I have never posted in this thread before.

I am 23 right now and currently own my second and third RX-7's (pictures in my sig). I'm graduating college in mechanical engineering in 4 days and start my first real job on May 26.

-Got my first Silver '93 in 2002 when I was 16. Owned it for 2.5 years, single turbo and everything else for 365whp.

-Didn't have an RX-7 for the next 3 years....kicked myself every day for selling my first one.

-Got my Black '93 in November 2007, it was bone stock but is now pretty close to where I want it with a ported motor, T04Z, and HKS V-Mount. Just need wheels and some more suspension parts.

-Picked up my Silver '83 GSL in September of 2008 as a daily driver.
