How old are you 3rd gen owners?
Ok, I am 63 but I bought the FD for my son last year for his 6th birthday. I put it in a trust for him untill he is 16. We plan on working on it and upgrading it over the next few years. In order for him to claim ownership he must go for 1 year without a ticket and must attend a driving school such as Skip Barbers. Then it is his. Any comments? Between the two of us we should be the oldest and youngest.
Old guy here- 41. I just bought a one owner, completely stock R1 a few days ago. I remember lusting after these when they came out, but with sticker prices in the low $40K range, I just couldn't justify buying one. Heck, my new 85 GS was only $12k, and the new 2br house I lived in was only $45k.
Back in those days, I was a real sports car junkie, and had the following (not all at once): 68 Firebird 400, 85 RX-7, 65 Corvette, 88 Supercharged MR2, AC Cobra Replica, and Miata. About 11 years ago, I gave up the cars for homebuilt aircraft. I've built, flown, and later sold 2 planes, and now I'm working on my third, which is going to be powered by a brand new 13B with a 2nd gen Turbo. It should be a rocket
Cheers,
Rusty

I'll bump this thread once more ...
I'm 31 ... I sold a 20K mile Acura CL type S to go after my 94 7. Haven't regretted it at all. ... I remember reading the first reviews and being amazed at the power / displacement / weight of this car. Talk about drooling ... Back then I couldn't even close to afford it AND graduate.
I have a feeling that this car will be with me for quite some time ... hmm ... wonder how much to turn my two car garage into a three?

I'm 27...and I'm a Libra...I like short trips on the beach, and long rides on the way back home in the RX-7.
I purchased my RX-7 with the trade-in of a two year old Celica...which some people would consider crazy simply because I'm going from a brand new car practically to a 10 year old car that needs work.
Of course...they haven't taken a ride in it yet, either...

Running up on 20... I'll be 40 before I get my car running perfectly though... So I have many years ahead of me to learn the almighty FD's integrated systems... P.S. I'm thinking that about 1/2 the car is left stock and the other Half is broke :p

P.S. In trying to limit the broken parts down...
I'm replacing Hoses, P.S. Rack, Plug wires, Broken Glove box, Air Temp sensor. Just replaced seats... working on sorting out my leaning out problem.

Had my FD since I was 26. Feels nice being able to pay for the repairs though. I could had never afforded one of these babies when I was in college. I don't know how some of you guys do it

Ya know..I've been trying to figure your sig out..
Why is it like that...I've looked at it sideways, horizontally..even upside down.
What the hell does it say? Or does it say anything at all?
Oh..and some shots of my 2 1/2 week old owned RX-7...after a 2 coat waxing...

I can't wait to get started..dangit..It's driving me madd waiting. It's like the military..hurry up and wait. I'm just missing the rotors, so I can do the brake job!!! And my friend to clear out his garage so we can install the springs!!

21, and having to sacrifice another toy to keep/maintain the FD. Went through a 1st and 2nd gen in high school. Now I've got my dream car, 93 CYM. Definately keep her for quite a while.
The thing about my sig... I basically figued I would list what I have instead of writing it on one long line like I am now. I guess I just need to redo it for all you people w. blurry vision

I'm 45. Bought my 94 white PEG in January 02. Looked for about 6 months before finding the right one. Found mine in excellent condition with 41k. I have learned a lot about these cars this year. Still trying to make it go just a little faster without breaking the bank.
I bought a 82 GSL, brand new in Jan 82. Put in a street port 13B about 12 years ago. Sold it this year with 125k. Still looked and ran great. I hope to have my FD for just as long.
I also owned and raced a 79 base model RX7 for about 10 years. Sold it to some 18 year old kid. He trashed it. It wound up in a salvage yard with no motor. Too bad, it was a quick car.

I am currently 19, had my black Fd for about 6 months now. I originally bought a red '93 from a shop, not PFS, in manassas, VA. Turned out, there was so much mess in that car, and soooo many problems arose that i was happy when... to my luck (somewhat) some ******* ran into me and totalled the car. After a long search and significantly more background info in the car, i found the perfect one. Currently running Intake,dp,mp, hks exhaust, PFS computer, fuel pump, crane ignition, 18x10 wheels, and eibach springs. I think i spoil myself.
31 years old. I've had the car for 2 years and broken everything on it once(some things twice). Although frustrating, I can't find anything I like even half as much. I'm not giving up until I have one of the most fearsome cars in New England.
400rwhp and a bad attitude sounds good to me.

I'm 22. This is my first FD but I had an 88 GTU a couple of years ago. I totaled it in a car wreck a few years ago. I lady ran a red light and I T-boned her. But now I got a FD and I am really friggin happy.
