Hrm.... Time to revive an old thread once again

I'm 18 and I just bought my FD this month. I swear this car has stolen my heart (and my wallet). I took out a 12K loan to buy the car and am going to be paying that off for a long time. Oh well, it makes it all worth while when I sit in the drivers seat.

Im 21 now, bought my 93 R1 when I was 19. I am also a college student. Third gen RX-7 + college student = bad combination. I spent every penny I had on it and now I am a poor, sorry sonofabitch. I don't regret buying it, but I can't help but think about how much easier life would be had I bought a cheap car. Between gas and maintainence (sp?) I have no money to do anything fun. I would have killed for this car in high school, but for those who haven't graduated from college yet and don't have rich parents, do yourself a favor and wait to buy the car of your dreams.

22, purchased the RX-7 last year, drove it three days, then ripped it apart and started the single conversion.

I was 17 when I bought my first MKIV Supra, 93.5 w/ 89K miles. Basic mods, 410 RWHP.

18, sold it and bought a 94 MKIV Surpra w/ 18,000 miles. Modded it, 575 RWHP.

Sold it bought a '91 300 ZX when I was 20. http://www.autosoundmag.com/features/0110ass_zx/
Moderatly modded, ~550 RWHP.

Bought a '91 Acura NSX w/ 7K miles when I was 21. Currently engine is pulled, installing twin turbo kit and reinforcing block. Car will be fininshed in 2-3 months.

Bought a '94 R2 w/17K miles when I was 21. Currently engine is pulled, interior is stripped, rollcage being installed, motor being built, awaiting GT42R Kit from Magnus, car will be running within two months.

Bought a '01 Yamaha R1 when I was 22.

Just bought a '02 Silverado HD 2500 to tow everything.
Stock for time being.

That's where I am at right now. No my parents do not pay for my cars, I pay for every one!

I'm only 17. Bought this car with my own money after I totaled my 99 Firebird Formula. Love this car but miss the torque. Also owned a 3000gt sl, too slow for my tastes.

21... bought it when I was 18. Lucky enough to not have had to sell it due to a warranty (and a credit card, hehe).

27 here. I cannot belive how young the owners are!?!?!?! I though I was gonna be on the young side. No wonder its so hard to find one that has not been thrashed. I am looking for one. I am not in a hurry. I am going to do what everyone says, take my time. I had a 1st gen when I was 19. Fast little thing, I love the rotary. Time to step up! I can hardly wait.
