You don't need a turbotimer.

Installation should be straightforward. I recently read the instructions for a knock- off Apexi turbotimer and even that was extremely clear.

open box
read instructions
throw in trash can or put on ebay

before your about to park the car don't boost, the FD doesn't benefit from a turbo timer at all with stock twins.

Regardless of others opinion(s), a surfeit attitude to proper warm up / cooling will not do any harm ever. The opposite cannot be said.

I would recommend looping a kill switch to your handbrake.

It can do harm, its called heat soak

I personally wouldn't bother using one. Its not necessary and just complicates the wiring.

Regarding the install, there is probably instructions on Greddy's website. If not..I can dig out the wiring from when I removed my Greddy full auto timer that came with my car & post up some pics.

What everyone is saying is believed to be true, but if you're true intent is to install it anyway,

I believe he asked about the install of this part, not if it was “necessary”.

my car came with a turbo timer, i used to use it... then like others people told me not to its a waste.. which i learned was true... i used to use it just to keep my electricals on just an extra 5 mins to keep my fans running.. then it broke and i threw it away, never looked at another one again....

but then again i go to extreme when i cool down the car at home, but only at home... when i drive it anywhere else. no boosting and your good
