How do you check boost?

I have a boost gauge, apexi digital boost controler, hks downpipe, n1 exahust, intake. Is there a way to make sure the gauge is showing the correct boost levels? i think the boost gauge is wrong. Some times it also feels like the second turbo doesnt kick in or not as hard, how would i go about diagnosing this?

You can check the boost gauge with the display on the AVC (assuming that is the digital apexi controller you are talking about) If your boost is off, that is why you have the boost controller.

ok, the boost gauge regesters about 7 psi and the apexi boost controler regesters about .75 kg/cm^2... The boost controler is suposedly set to make 10 psi but it doesnt seem to do it... any ideas?

i was just out testing the boost again and i noticed that one time in 3rd gear under full throttle the boost went up to around 7 or 8 at 3k rpm's and held for a second and declined as the rpms went up. it went down to about 3 or 4 psi at 6k... could there be a leak somewhere? this only happens sometimes, other times the boost holds at 7 or 8 on the gauge and 10 or 11 on the avc. The avc is set to hold at 10 psi.

Allright, the boost is leaking due to the lack of a gasket between the throttle body and the intake plenum ... couldnt figure it out till i randomly placed my hand over the tb, reved it up and felt the air surge. Thanx for the help

Congrats on finding the problem!! If it wasn't for the random act where you found it...you may have been extremely frustrated for several months! Be careful when you drive it after the gasket is replaced, the previous owner may have pumped up the AVC-R to try to compensate for that leak.
