Horn wiring diagram,PLEASE HELP!!!

As above, ever since I got my fd the horn hasn't been working.I didn't think it was a big deal at the time but now the cops are hasseling me to get the car mot'd and need to get this horn working now.I recently got a momo drifting steering wheel and momo boss kit for the fd but something doesn't add up why it aint working now.Someone might have had the same problem before.I think it's just something simple or I might be missing something.Check out the pics and see if something doesn't add up????

recommend using the stock clockspring rather than the cheesy momo contact. just make a hole in the hub for the connector to fit.

try wiring your horn direct by-passing the clock spring, c if that works. process of elimination

get your horn working, its important, it might save u from a soccer mom in a mini van backing into u.

All good points.I was gonna bore a hole in the hub for the connector to pass through.Earlier I connected the connection from the momo clock spring and the hub cable to the horn to see if it would work but there wasn't a peep!need more help!!! Am I missing something else?that cheesy momo clock spring is what came with my fd so I don't know what the stock spring looks like!!!!

Horn Wire should have 12v at all times, if you have less you have the airbag wire, it only has a volt or two, because it needs to see that the bag is there, but not deploy it which would take 12v... Find the wire with 12v, most mazda circuits, have coltage present at all times, the way mazda does things is they ground stuff to turn it on, instead of having stuff grounded, at all times, and giving it 12 v to turn it on... kind of backwards from what I was taught in school on how to design circuits, but oh well.. if you find 12v, ground it, on anything metal connected to the chassis, and you'll get one of two results (Big Spark, and a blown fuse, or a BEEP !) when you have a beep, you found the horn (Duh! I know). It shouldn't be hard to find, but be careful, the horn is easier to find because once you do you get an audio confirmation.

First of all. Get yourself a wiring-diagram of the horn itself. Understand how it works, check for basics (Power, ground, etc)

Or first, make sure the horn works. Locate the horn, and ground it. U should get a beep. If no beep, means ur horn is bad. If beep, then head on checking your power supply to the horn (fuses, relays, etc.)

If power is good, do a resistance (ohm) test on the circuit from "power supply" to the "horn" itself. Then step by step verify and pinpoint your open/shorted circuit.

Good luck with the find.

ok so i've replaced the hazard 15a fuse and 60a btn fuse that are needed according to the wiring diagram and i'm pickin up a horn relay tomorrow. When I have all these replaced i'll attack getting the horn working. If i'm successful i'l do the modifications to the hub to fit it safely. Is there an easier way to do this instead of drilling the back of the hub for the clock spring to fit through????
