I like the color guys, and tan spells out expensive. You want a dark colored car when you have tan inside simple as that. Looks great. The only issue is auto but I mean just look at the carpeting and the seats and the paintwork and wow............. it's new. Barely ever sat in, the headlight motors are good, the gas cap opens without fuss, the hatch shocks still work the door handles won't break, the headlight cover won't fly off. I mean you guys keep dissne but you can't say all that about your cars. No wear and tear = a nearly perfect example of FD just needs a manual tranny.

i really hope sombody buys that car and puts it to good use. its depressing to think its never been pushed to the limit the way 7's are meant to be pushed. wish i had some money, id buy that **** in a second (not for 29k tho, thats for damn sure haha)

I find it funny the attitudes of you Rx-7 owners -- that your cars should be beaten to **** and scarred beyond recognition with unsightly body kits and engine life reducing modifications. There's nothing wrong with auto, and there's nothing wrong with a pristine car.

Considering the silver/black/MT Texas car with 5K miles went for around 28K a couple of weeks ago its funny how a color combo and transmission choice kills a speculative investment. Taking the 35K the car cost and putting it in the stock market would probably got the guy over 100K by now. ESPECIALLY since the car was never driven?!

First off I am in NO way saying that the Rx-7 should be beaten to hell, but 185 miles is a JOKE. You mean to tell me that you think this AUTO car is a good deal at 29k. Lets be real here...we all know that car is worth whatever someone is willing to pay...but I promise you that car is not worth anywhere close to 29k. I would pick the CYM (actual rare color) with 19k miles ernie T's friend is selling for 25k 1 million times over before I purchased that car for 29k! Not everyone on this forum owns "unsightly body kits" and I would say that the majority of fd's on this forum are not "scarred beyond recognition" and there are many pristine single turbo fd's that are just as reliable if not MORE reliable than the stock sequential setup which is prone to cause headaches. I am in no way a bashing a pristine low mileage STOCK Rx-7 by any means, but the 185 mile FD seriously is a waste

I am high bidder right now, call me an idiot if you must, but I think that this is the best way to avoid an abused, crappy car(even if it looks nice)...especially considering I would even have to finish the break in.
Car was a dealer demo, and looks as though it has changed hands many times over the years...supposedly it was never titled Im trying to get the carfax right now but no ones helping me out . If it was never titled and sold as new, does that mean Id have a warranty, lol?
What do you think putting a manual in would do for the price? Or, hey, an LS1/2?
Whats a fair price to buy it at? (obviously no more than 25 I would assume)

I paid between $28-$30 for my FDs on $40K stickers. If they aren't hiding anything, there is no question in my mind that this is worth close to what I paid.
I wouldn't buy an auto FD but lot's of folks did. I would NOT buy this car to convert it. Wait a bit and buy one of mine that I'll be selling.
Whenever anyone bashes Montego Blue I have to remember the groans of ecstacy from the peanut gallery over the pics of GodzillaT-78's car. Now THAT is truly vile while the blue is nicely conservative.

^ Your cars arent "new" like this one, I much rather know exactly how the car was used than buy one of your cars that could have possibly been abused even if you deny it...thats the one thing not even "low mileage" cars can claim...call me crazy, but thats what sets this apart. Sorry if your cars are new though, in that case you'll have to be messaging me.

ErnieT, a very respected member of the forum, mentioned earlier that he has a 93 R1 CYM for sale...IIRC it has like 20K on it. I've seen that car, and it's freakin MINT. It's been driven and thus taken care of, not left to dry rot in a garage. And I obviously know it runs like a champ. Who knows if the seals (in the motor) of this Ebay FD are good...

I'd love Ernies CYM, but at what is probably going to be the same price I see no reason to not just buy this car when it is new regardless of the auto.
If his car was 20-22k, then this would be a different story because I probably would have already bought Ernies car.

You're looking at all sorts of buildup, rotting, deterioration, cracking, etc etc. Just because a car is low mileage doesn't mean it's been taken care of properly.

Yes. Manufacturer warranty begins from the date of purchase, and since the car has never been titled, it's never been "owned," and hence the warranty is still valid. Someone a few months ago emailed Mazda about this, and they confirmed this. Again, w/ a car that's BARELY been driven for over a decade, you're gonna NEED that warranty...
No offense, but if you're looking to gut the car or do any modifications to it, IMO, you'd be an idiot to pay that much for it. You can buy a rolling chassis for $6K or so, and drop an LS1 in it (not that I like that). And you can swap a manual into ANY FD. I don't know WHY you'd pay so much for a car that obviously isn't all that to begin with.
