high oil pressure and blowing smoke! HELP!!!!
I just got done putting my car back together after I did some minor maintenance. The only thing I did was replace the turbo flange between the manifold and the turbine housing, replaced all caps on UIM and LIM, relocated my IAT sensor, and installed new primary injector clips. After I started it I noticed that the car is smoking like a mother! it is definatly oil smoke. went for a little drive and after intial warm up the oil pressure was at about 45-60 psi and no matter what gear when i reached 3-4k rpm my oil pressure would sky rocket to over 100psi.
I talked to Howard Coleman about it cause He rebuilt the motor and he says that it could be the turbo. But I dont think the turbo would cause high oil pressure. I have had that turbo (T04Z) on there for about 2 years with 3k miles and at least 20 times down the drag strip. Need help!

Turbo Oil return hose/pipe? maybe the oil can not return to the oil pan therefore causing higher oilpressure plus the oil blows through the seals as it has nowhere else to go ---> causing burnt oil smoke !?

no I have a greddy oil pressure guage. I found the problem. I pluged one of the vents off the oil filler tube (thats the technical name). I took the caps off and every thing is peachy again. thanks guys for the input.

Sir Braps A lot
do not leave the bottom nipple open you need to catch can it or run and line and vent it up, i left mine open and found a very nice oil stain in my garage and oily spark plugs.
