Help locating gas tank ground.

So I pulled my tank out, cleaned it, did a bunch of other stuff and now that I put it back together I cant figure out where the ground goes thats located on the driver side near the fill neck, its attached to the frame and then the other side is a flat tab with a screw hole.

Thank you

Helo

Nice parts excerpt, but it still doesn't answer the question. OP is asking where that grounding location is on the car. I have this same question right now.

Assuming that the attached end is already bolted to the frame, from the orientation shown in the picture, it looks like it should attach to somewhere on the top side of the filler neck, near its top. So it might have to be attached before the tank is all the way in.

If that's the case, there should be an empty hole (or a hole with the loose bolt in it) where it attaches near the top of the neck.

It's been a while and i'm too lazy to pull off the cover, so i'll guess

You say the the ground wire that's shown at the top of the picture is connected to the frame (not shown in the picture)? If so, just connect the other end to the one of the screws that connects the filler neck. All i believe that does is provide a ground for any static electricity generated filling your gas tank

Make sure it's attached to the portion of the neck that is not grounded otherwise. That part of the neck is electrically isolated by rubber connector hoses and/or grommets and that is why it needs to be grounded by the cable to prevent static sparking.

This makes sense, ill have to drop the tank slightly to get back to the top of the neck. I know what you mean by the metal collar being isolated at the top

So for those that are curious, if you go in through the rear driver side wheel well you can see the ground very easily. The tab it mount too is on the far side of the fill neck so you have to blindly attach it, but a socket and rachet got in there and it was easy to put back on. Much easier then dropping the tank again imo.
