Unhappy Gas Tank Problems Help (Sorta Long)

Ok, here goes. I took my car to the mechanic today because I could smell gas and he hoisted it up and said that it looks like either my gas tank or a line on top of the gas tank is leaking. There is gas on the bottom of the tank but it is oozing down the tank from the top. You can only notice the leak (smell) if the gas tank is full. He said that he wont be able to tell if i need a new gas tank or not until he drops the one in it now and takes a look. Anywho, If anyone living in the Vic, Duncan, or Nanaimo area has a gas tank or a line on one and could help me put it in if it comes to it, please let me know.

Thanks

Ian Welin

Remove the cover under your rear carpet and see if its just a leaky hose. No need to remove the tank unless its needed.
