Emission Testing (Full Tank or Half-Full?)

I am wondering why I need to do a full tank of gas? Can I still test with a half tank full or is there a big different during the emission testing if I have a full tank or half tank.

If so what is it?

Thanks In Advance!

So I'm woundering WHY someone is telling you this, fare as I know NO state in the union has a requairerment on how much gas you have in the tank. Makes no deffernts on the out come of the emission testing, and if it did in your case, you realy have something messed up like you EVAP system, like trying to perug rall gas all the time, So WHO is pullen your short leg

Turn on your "Speel"check Gambone!..(just Kiddin ya)..anyhow..No it doesn't matter if there is One gallon or a Full tank in your car when you test..SUGGESTION; it is BETTER that you have Less gas in..Why?..Just incase you have a Leaky Tank, and they Won't test a Car that has a leaky tank On a Dyno, for Safety Reasons..Look up Methyl Hydrate.Denatured Alcohol.Emmisions Test.By using the Search function.it will give you Tips on Getting ou car to Pass..you need a Good Tune, new plugs, new filter, and a Working air pump, with a NEW,or Recently new Catalytic Converter..No Way in Hell that a Rotary Engine can pass without a Catalytic..if there is Car that can,It Belongs to Chuck Norris!

Why did you bump a 2 year old thread?

And there are cars out there that can pass without a cat, I've seen it happen a few times in person. Not a rotary mind you, but it's not that crazy for some other cars.
