Going Single & more, a big project has finaly begun... w/lots of pics
Last years project wasn't delivering much, I rebuilt my twins succesfully, ported the wastegate and converted to full non-seq. mode getting rid of lots of hoses and solenoids, air pump etc..., but I got tired of the lagginess of the non-seq. setup so I decided to go single since my beatifull wife gave me one of the best Valentines gifts a man can get, a dual ball bearing RX6B kit.
Once I got the kit, I took of the compressor housing and polished it, now since I never polished before the job is not the best ever but is pretty acceptable, see pics below.
Since I started polishing I thought some more sh*t under the hood can use the bling-bling factor the turbo got, so I decided ti polish more stuff like:
UIM, TB, Alt., FMIC piping, AST, Tork brace etc...
Also I'm gonna send all the pulleys to Powder coat to a guy here in the forum (Nappy94), btw I got a UR p/s pulley from optionimports.com for $101.15 which most places sell it for $149.00+ .
I also made a FMIC Chiller hoop from a 3/8 brass tube, which is gonna be connected to the winshield washer fluid bottle to spray water to the IC at the same time as the water/alc injection comes online @ 10 psi, so the IC chiller will be connected on the same relay.
Within this project I'm throwing in a new 255 walbro fuel pump and relocating the fuel filter on the engine bay for easyer future access, someone tell me if this is bad to do & why ???
OK nuff said, check out some of the pics I already took.

OK, here are some more pics,
IC chiller, size 22 X 4-1/4, btw I shaped it all by hand!
on this pic you can see the tiny little holes I made on the tube/pipe in criss-cross pattern.
Painted w/high heat silver (all I had at the moment) when it chips I'll get some better paint for it.

Good job on the polishing. I tried polishing for my first time whei a 6" pipe. It took forever, and I dont want to do it again.
You have alot of patience polishing the UIM

Thanks, polishing is a pain the ***, once I'm done with it, will never polish again.
Now I'm in the process of doing the 2 hardest parts, alt & TB
