Gas smell in cockpit! Help
Tonight I noticed a simi-strong gas smell inside my car. What can it be??
Some type of sensor??
I just recently had the motor done there's 476mi on that & 71200mi on the car itself.
Thanks Jeff

PULSATION DAMPER IS A GOOD GUESS. START CARRYING A FIRE EXTINGUISHER. I SUGGEST NOT TO DRIVE IT UNLESS YOUR GOING TO THE MECHANIC. A LEAKY PULSATION DAMPER WILL CATCH FIRE EASY.

ive had the same problem....three times
twice it was leaky injectors...rebuilt mine at a reputable shop and they leaked like mad soon after install.
the third time was the injector housing.

I had Dave from KD Rotary change my Pulsation Dampener and he found so many other problems that were cause by my Mazda Dealership, PFS, and Rampage Racing and I'm not surprised. If you take it to Dave's shop he will be able to complete the task on the same day if it is the pulsation dampner.
Also, it might be coming from your injectors or the fuel lines.

This might be a dumb idea because I think it's one of the already aboved mentioned things probably, but did you remove your air pump at all?? I know I actually removed my pump and forgot to plug the pipe that normally goes to the air pump and got some foul smells before..
