last time mines did that about 2 months ago, i found the fpd was leaking... carry a couple of fireextinguishers with you if you plan to drive or find that leak. you dont wanna get burned alive do you?

check the intake where it meets the throttle body. very easy to check, just remove it all the way and also check the o-ring

Check this post:

It has quite a bit of troubleshooting information on the "gas smell" problem.

I had the same problem a couple of years back. My problem was the LIM gasket leaking.

You will be having a "car-B-Q" if you dont get that fixed. That is not normal and shouldnt be taken lightly.

sounds like the injector insulators. they seal the rails to the block. under boost they are a "wet" boost leak. with vac none is getting by the seat but pressure pushes the fuel mix out. that said you realy shopuld trouble shoot the usual suspects. and do it soon. like frankenstien said fire badddd

I got a FD for a week now...drove it 200 miles (saturday) and didn't smell any gas. However I spoke to my brother (car first owner) and he asked if I smelled gas during hard accelleration...obviously he did smelled gas but I didn't.

I will do the checking anyway.

Thanks.
