Differential Oil

Does anyone know of a particularly good differential oil to use! Are there any that aren't any good? Any suggestions would be helpful!

Thanks,
-Chris Hunter-

I use NEO available from www.bakerprecision.com

Lots of CART and IRL teams use it in their gearboxes. That's good enough for me.

NO! Nobody does. Not one person. Normal oil is obsolete with new "virtual" oil, that you download.

Synthetic is better, just admit it!

i use regular oil in the engine, but synthetic seems to work great in gear boxes. get some 75-90 redline.

I've used Redline, Neo, and RP. RP seems to be the best so far, Redline is really good too, and Neo didn't last that long but was good.

Spoke to redline people last week they recommend
MT-90 manual transmission and 75w90 differential oil. As for the motor I use 20w50 Castrol GTX.....not convinced enough to go synthetic yet.........

All that have been mentioned are good. Can't go wrong with any of them. Personally, I use Redline 75W90.

Can you get royal purple from any autoparts store, or do you have to order it online?

Not unless you are running an aftermarket diff like the Kaaz.

I don't know about ANY auto parts store...the local Pep Boys doesn't carry it, but there's a place called Speed and Truck World locally that does. However, the best way I've found is to get it off Ebay. Just do a search, the guy selling it seems to always have something up. Even with shipping, I ended up saving money, and he ships promptly.

Sorry, for some reason I missed this post.

If you have a NAPA, they carry it. I don't think any other typical auto store will carry it unless it's a performance shop.
