Like I said in the last thread, the car looks sweet, pics that show the detail on the turbos are even better. This guy has really sweat the details and he should get some respect for it.

Who cares who posted the pics?

Great job, keep pics of cars like this comin'!

I say that you need to see the car and meet the man in person, then everyone would understand. He's a super nice guy and has a SUPER nice car!

I'm suprised the pictures came out. All my pics had too much glare from all the BLING.

I'm very impressed. You don't see engine bays that clean very often in ANY car much less a FD.

Can't wait for a dyno sheet.

I just want to cry when I think of all the work I did on my car with my fabricator/welder friend the last 8 months

but davids engine bay makes mine look like its rigged. Imagine all this work and have a little respect. People need to respect the work not because he has made a "cool" car but because not many people have the self discipline to do work like that. He told me on the phone that if he were to sell his car he would ask 50k or something really high and I agreed and said Id ask a lot for my car too or I'd rather give it away to a relative or someone who appreciates it then sell it for less than its worth.

My lim is still way better though!!
ill have to get some pics of it all blinged out so you can show him

Paul,

Let him tell us himself for once. I've never seen him post, e-mail or anything....it's just you hyping him up all the time. Not to be an ***, but it's almost like the Ryan (Don't be a rikki) when he was always going on and on about PFS.

No kidding. Between Paul and duboisr, it's nauseating.

Garfinkle this. Garfinkle that. Garfinkle hit me in the head with a whiffle ball bat...

who else has his phone number memorized from seeing the phrase "call garfinkle"
maybe if people stopped swinging from his nuts, he would have more time away from soaking his ***** from the pain to have one of you guys show him how to use a keyboard and a mouse. I am surprised he knows what a phone is from the way you guys make it sound...
I must say, I did talk to him once on the phone and he sounded nice. Also the car looks great too.

I'll put it this way.. And I'm sure you guys will now bash me because I'm backing Garfinkle..

But the thing is that the guy didn't have a computer until recently and also he's on dial up..

The reason for me to back him up is because he's a super nice guy and does a great job. Why not help him out and at least pass the word about him on the forum. I sure don't want to keep it a secret... If he was an ***, its a different story..

By the way.. Tim, if you want to meet him and talk to him in person, he will be coming down to our annual BBQ. Sept 26th @ BNR's new facility.. I know its the same weekend as Petit LeMan in ATL.. I'm thinking about going there on saturday and sunday for the BBQ.

Jim: If your nauseated try some pepto.

Why the hell does it matter who is posting about him or how often. I never have seen R.E. Amiwhatever or certain other fabricators post here either and that doesn't keep people from talking up and appreciating his work. I happen to think RE's work sucks (especially his overpriced and psychotically engineered intake) but I don't call him out or bitch at people who support his designs. Why is it so important that David be held to a higher standard? I, like duboisr and Paul, have gone toe to toe with a bunch of you about David's work (especially his torque brace and commander holder) and frankly I grow very weary of the petty BS.

David isn't advertising here, or for that matter anywhere so there is no need for him to defend his work. You like it or you don't like it, you want it, David will talk to you about fabricating it. But if you want to nag, criticize, and bitch, David is not one who will take the bait to enter a fight just to defend something he created. He is an intelligent, gifted, gentleman who will give you the shirt off his back if you need it. David has never asked me to support him here and I doubt he has ever made a request for defense from Paul or duboisr.

BTW rxrotary2_7: David is not simply computer illiterate and while he can use a keyboard and computer, he simply has chosen not to participate in a forum where food fighting is a way of life. ABTW if I intend to swing from someone's *****, it is always because I intend to rip them from the *******'s body. When I compliment someone it is from a sincere position of respect.

jeff48,

It's really not an issue of people liking or disliking Garfinkle or his car. It's his "supporters" that fly off the handle when/if something negative is said about him or his car.

If you like him and his work, great. However, what good does it do to argue with someone over it when it's just down to personal preference? None. You can never please everyone.

So, if someone doesn't like "Garfinkle's rims" or they don't think his car is "all that", just move on.

The whole issue about everyone backing his car so much and how he never posts or e-mails or whatnot is kindof lame. Just because you sit at your computer 24-7 and have no time to work on your car doesn't mean that you have the right to rag on somebody who doesn't know how to use a computer but spends his time better than yourself by working on his car. You really don't know why we back his car so much until you've seen the car IN PERSON. It will change you. It makes you WANT to back David up because you have yet to see a car come close to his anywhere. They just don't know yet. Maybe if you lived in Tennessee or saw his car sometime then you wouldn't point your finger to a hood liner or some wheels. You KNOW it's a badass car...Admit it then. Don't do like 3rd graders and try to bring out what you think is bad in his car just to make yours not look as bad. David's car is a work of Art. You just don't know until you've seen it in person.

haha, it runs now. . . just waiting on aem. . . and ill say this about the running thing. he did all that in less than a year. yeah, anybody can slap a set of turbos and rebuild an engine in a month or so, cut to do what he did. . . most people dont do that in a lifetime.

this rims thing. i never ONCE said that people who dislike his rims are "haters" or "jerkbags" or whatever you like to say. it gets a wee bit irritating when people are "down to the bone" rude and discourteous. all i did was post pics of a car that i think is sweet, by doing that i allow opinions to be dropped on the thread regarding the pics/car. i DID NOT, however, put pics of my friends car on the internet to hear shitmouthed arrogance.

"yeah, the car is nice. . . i just dont like the rims. . . little too 80s for me."
who cares about that. . . so what, he doesnt like the rims. thats an opinion.

theres no need for mindless "****-talk".

i put the pictures up because i thought they might inspire or i figured that this car was MEANT to be shared, cause its just that stunning. do i need to put that sort of disclaimer in my threads from now on?

swinging from garfinkles *****. . . haha, my posts arent filled with his name. hes a good friend of mine so i WILL say something about him. how many of you guys back kevin t. wyum? or steve kan? or cam at pettit? or whatsisface at pineapple? or judge ito? these are reputable guys, as is david. if i were getting on here and calling people stupid names like "rikki" for not going with david garfinkle, then you could relate me. all i have done is posted and referred. i AM NOT an advertising agent for david garfinkle and NO ONE on this forum is. just friends helping a guy whos helped us. . . and beyond that. . . his car deserves recognition. if i were walking down the isles of a car show like nopi or something and saw his car. . . id be hard-pressed to take pictures of it and talk to the owner. thats why i posted the pics. not to prove any point that david garfinkle is the master fabricator. . . i wouldve opened with that if it were true. . . all i wanted to do was say, "hey guys, this car is nice. . . CHECK IT OUT!!!" . . . the same thing you do at a meet/show.

paul

btw, dont worry guys. . . dynotuning is on the way. . . its getting trailored to gotham this month or next.

Exclamation

Ok, I'm one of the most patient people on this forum, but I'm going to put a stop to this right now.

I don't care if you want to post pictures of Garfinkle's car or other things he has done. However, don't get upset when/if people don't find it as "special" as you do. If someone doesn't like it, that's their opinion. It serves no purpose to argue over "opinions". You can post pictures of the fastest, nicest car in the world; someone will not like it as everyone has their own interpretation of what's good to them

I will shut down these threads if they continue to be flame wars.

If you don't want to hear negative opinions about Garfinkle's car or other work, don't post about. Everyone can and will post their opinions if you do.
