Unhappy greddy 3 row problems

well i bought a "greddy 3 row" FMIC off of this guy on the forum. (this is for a 20b FD with the stock turbos BTW). anyway, i got it today and a few things are bothering me about it. first of all its stamped with the "trust" logo... i think they are the same company... maybe this IC is just old. anyway, it doesnt look long enough to take up the entire grill of the car.

basically what i was wondering a few things:
1) (if anyone is using a greddy 3-row) what are the dimensions of the core? the dimensions of this one are 4" X 16" X 10.5"

2) how many pices of IC piping did yours come with (the guy who sold it to me said there were only 2 that came with it... one is extreemly heavy and painted with blue wrinkle paint.

3) if this is not the greddy 3-row FMIC... what was i sold?

thanks for all of the help... im just trying to figure out whats up and make sure im not getting ripped off. -heath

PS if anyone has pictures of a greddy 3 row unit/piping could you please post it... the rx7store.net's pictures are the same for most of the IC's.

I believe that the greddy's on rx7store.net all have symmetrical endtanks in that they both come out at the sides and bend in, that one doesn't look nearly as symmetrical as any of the other pics I have seen of the Greddy kits for our cars sold on RX7store.net. However it does look hella thick so who knows, maybe it is an older 3 row.

That is a picture of the old style Greddy 3 row. They stopped making that along time ago.

Trust is Greddy,..

To be honest with you, if you are going to buy something make sure you ask all questions and do your search before purchasing.. So then you wont have any doubt and regret as of now...

I hope that this was not bought from a guy named Jesse in Colorado? Like Jason said that is the old style. It mounts behind the front of the frame, not in front.

I agree you should have done your research beforehand you look silly asking after

You also didn't get ripped off one bit. Its the old style 3 row like everyone said and it works very well. The way it mounts isnt bad either its just not all the way forward but I like it like that

We modified mine though heres before

after

I eventually finished polishing it everywhere that was loads of fun the damn thing is 32lbs or something

well that sort of sucks (yes its my fault for not researching it) .... but i had no idea there were multiple versions, with different dimensions etc. id be totally fine with it (it looks like a great intercooler) except that since im using this with a 20b i need EVERY INCH of space i can get... that meants having the IC and radiator as far forward as possible. there are a few people in the 20b forum who are using the greddy 3-row (the newer version) without issue. i saw "greddy 3-row" and thought "ok this should work". i had never read anything (untill now) about there being "2 different versions with different dimensions, and different mounting positions". either way its my fault, but unfortunatly for me this wont work with my car.

so it looks like ill be ordering one from rx7store.net. does anyone have the dimensions of the ABSOLUTLY NEWEST version of this thing? also, i plan on using a 99 spec bumper, and was wondering if anyone has mounted the NEW 3-row with that bumper/rebar/and fogs.
thanks, heath

PS i have an OLD 3-row for sale
