No, let's not beat around the bush. The rims had to have been selected when he was blind, stinking drunk or they were a gift from someone who was blind, stinking drunk. There's no other explanation.

Besides that, though, you'd think that with all that attention to the engine bay he could afford a new $150 hood insulation pad. The engine bay is beautiful, and I'm sure he pulled apart the brake booster and upgraded the diaphragm before painting it and everything else, but the hood liner sort of ruins the effect.

OK, that's all the cheeriness I can muster for one thread.

hes had the rims for a loooooooong time. . . just something he liked. . . theyre STERN brand rims. he spent a lot of money on em, so i guess hes not really wanting to replace em at the moment. sorry guys, his taste doesnt belong to you.

jim, he rotated the brake booster and its powdercoated. the master cylinder, however, is out of a 929. . . aaaaaaand, the hood is in the works, he has another that is getting a scoop or a something on it. . . hes just not sure yet. for now. . . its just a hood. . . and hell tell you himself. . . its not a show car.

plumbed into the greddy elbow??? theres an hks bov there as well as the air intake sensor.

paul

btw, jim. . . give it a break man. . . that liner isnt ANYWHERE as bad as ive seen.

True, but compared to that engine bay, he might as well have been wiping his *** on it.

The engine bay is awesome, however, I agree with everyone regarding the ugly *** rims - those went out of style during the Reagan administration!

i love davids car ... seeing it in person is awe inspiring ...
the care and time put into this car outweighs the petty rim debate you guys have going on here ....
you guys are focusing on the wrong part of this car ... just ignore the freaking rims, and look and the engine bay ... JAYSUS CHRIST

not only is he one of the most knowledgable rotorheads ive ever been in the presence of, he is also one of the nicest most understanding guys as well ...

i just want one person to see this car in person and tell me they dont wanna own it ....

dishes are done BITCH!!

David is fabbing up my modified stock y-pipe with the BOV port deleted and smoothed out inside....it should flow as well or better than the efini y pipe (new Blitz BOV mounted on the Greddy elbow now, where it belongs anyway)....he's also helping me fab up a flanged y-pipe/Burns stainless cross over pipe connection....the y pipe has been cut down so there is no longer an ugly coupler for the cross over pipe and everything fits neatly under the strut tower bar....should look great when I get it back (plan to post a few pics, you can't really see it in the pics Paul posted)

David has been good to work with.....very reasonable prices
