dammit dammit dammit, what now?

ok, got a good one for all the troubleshooting people out there. i have a 1993 FD, and i have an issue.

the parking lights won't turn on, headlights do. replaced the TNS relay, checked all my fuses (all good), did resistance checks on the wires (good)....the only thing i can think of is the switch for the lights on the turn signal stalk (which is on the opposite side over here FYI), but it seems odd that just that position is messed up, since the headlights work fine. mind you, i haven't hand traced all the damn wiring yet, REALLY dont' want to do that, but it's looking like that might be my only other option.

any inputs would be appreciated. this really sucks, it's like having a solar powered FD right now.

So your parking lights dont come on with the lights either, or is just when the selector is on the parking light setting?

The parking lights also plug into the Emergency Flash, which is located on the drive side kick panel, You u can unplug the relay and trigger the flasher to see if that works....if so then you should be able to trace your problem from there...if not then pm me, I have had a similar problem

The tail lights are accessible from the inside. But, if none of the parking lights come on, that's not the problem, anyway.

The rear lenses come off by unscrewing the screws above them (actually I forgot, you may not have to unscrew these screws) then you simply slide them out sideways. It may take a little hard pushing but they will pop off.

Could be dirty or misaligned contacts in the combo switch T/S stalk also like you mentioned. Not sure how lighting works over there or if the T/S and parking lights share the same bulb, but do your hazards work?

yep, hazards work fine, as do the individual turnsignals themselves (seems reduntant, but figured i would but all the info in here i possibly can). will try to take off the rear covers tomorrow, just to see if i can. then check the T/S stalk to check out those damn contacts.
then update this thread with more swearing and such.
