ugh...another electrical problem thread...

...dammit, I'm proabably going to get **** for this, but oh well:

symptoms:
-high pitched buzzing sound coming from the little black box left of the dead pedal/foot rest pedal
-buzzing sound goes away on acceleration
-voltage is below 12, will go from 11.5-12 .5 when car is idling
-all warning lights will all turn on if car deccelerates quicky, but goes away if passenger side power window is lowered or raised
-really low voltage gauge reading, gets even lower is power instruments are used...

car is drivable, but it takes the fun away with the constant buzzing, oh and the steering wheel beeping, which I also already posted about but still don't quite know how to fix...

the buzzing is probably low oil or coolant... check those first.

11-12 volts is too low. your alt is probably dying.

all the lights comming on is normal. this is telling you your alt is dying.

beeping is power steering computer telling you have a problem with the power steering.

Buzzing is the alt failure relay in the CPU.

Your alt has failed... replace it.

Again (as posted at least 1000 times here in the 2nd gen section) if the voltmeter has less than 12.6 volts on it at any time. The alternator is not working.

Anything under 13.6 volts and the alt is not making enough juice to properly charge the battery.

And again... you have installed your steering wheel incorrectly. Take the aftermarket wheel off and fix it properly or put the stock wheel back on.
