The classic just bought a Rx7 thread

Ever since the beginning of time I pretty much wanted a Rx7. While growing up both my Aunts had 7's, one a 79 model and the other a GSL. I was lucking enough to by a GSLSE back in 2000 but it was taken from me by a cell phone moron running a light( RIP). Since then I owned two 2nd gen's, a 91 and 89.. Ended up selling those About 4 years ago I scooped up a GSLSE again with lots of goodies. I thought the sickness would end there but it didn't. Ive had my eyes on FD's for years and watched prices go up and go down. Always scanning Craigslist for deals and parts I stumbled across a Gem. A 1994 Touring with 31,000 miles. This is a Arizona car and has been garaged it's whole life. Everything is so clean you can eat off it. Never bought a Rx7 new so this is as close as it gets. A few of my friends asked me" so are you getting rid of that other Rx7 ?". To which I responded with a blank stare. They don't get it. Ive already yelled at a female friend of my for opening the door in a manner that I disapproved of ha ha. Well here are a few pics. I have big plans as far as reliability mods, its bone stock.

Very nice...both cars. I started with a GSL-SE...had a few FC's...now the FD and honestly...I'd like to pick up another FB to have as another car now. I approve of these pictures!

that FB was sexy as hell! And the FD looks mint!

But, it has to be said... You went from a Financial Burden, to a Financial Disaster? hehe

That being said, good luck on the new FD, the chaste white is such a nice color! keep pics coming!

Ha Ha so true but not having a FD would have burned a hole in my soul. Would hate to look back and say dam, I should have bought that one. It is pretty much in mint condition. Looks like it just came off the show room floor. The rims are flawless, zero curb checks.

I'm still in shock trust me. Now it's time to go back to Rx7 school and absorb everything there is to know about the FD. Funny thing is I was considering a 99-2002 Porsche 911. After looking at some of the maintenance changes I was like hell, I could put a new engine in the FD every year at that rate ha ha

Its funny I was just looking around on craigslist over an hour ago, and was drooling over this one. From the looks of your FB the FD found a good home. Congrats on the purchase!

Welcome to the club! That FB looks sweet! Seems like most average Joes that find out I have an RX-7 always have cool stories to tell about SA/FBs and FDs from back in the day. I have the same year, color and model FD but mine has an all black interior. Get an R1 front spoiler for it and it will complete the look. IMO, FD's just plain look weird without one.

With a lil bit of Craigslist searching and clicking on their website link I saw how much this 7 was listed for. I hope that's not was he ended up paying for it though. I'm not gonna list is for the sake of the OP. If he wants to let people know he'll let people know .

I picked my always garaged second owner 93 VR touring with 40k on the clock for 14,700. The car is damn near immaculate. It's got some usual wear for being an 18 year old car. But it's a cherry in my eyes

Back to the OP. That 7 looks perfect. I'm honestly pretty jealous. It's not often you find such low miles on these anymore. You'll definitely enjoy it. Experienced rotary owner or not it's a different kind of car to own. I ALWAYS get comments on the car because it's a freakin' Rx7. The name itself makes people who know cars or not poop themselves
