Blitz IC from RX7store.com damaged, what should I do?
Everyone,
I open my new Blitz SMIC only to find it was damaged. The box it was shipped in appeard fine, the unit is damaged. I have attached a pic. I have appointment tomorrow with my tuner to get a Power FC and have it tuned for the blitz + my other mods. What would you guys do? Can this be fixed?
If you look at the link http://66.216.67.51/product.asp?0=215&1=303&3=414 You will see that it shows it polished, yet it arrives unpolished, I can deal with that, but for 850.00 and it to arrived damaged kind of p*sses me off. I guess I need to vent.

Thats a pretty good smack, Should not hurt anything and you won't even see it very well once installed. put it on for the tuning and see what Jason can do about replacing it later.
1. hold the camera more steady so you dont get blur
2. Call and talk to Jason...before you bitch..product should be insured when it was shipped...so I presume you will be alright there
3. post this is the proper section..
4. If it says polished...I would demand that it would be polished

I noticed this post before checking my email. It is insured and can be replaced. I will checkout the pics you sent me and send you an email.
I freaking hate UPS.

I sent emails to Jason, I don't have till Monday to wait for a reply from him as I have an appointment with rx7fasion to get this installed.
I did not SAY polished , it was polished in the picture and it did not say anywhere that it was NOT polished.
As far as me "Bitching" as you so elegantly stated, I know nothing of intercoolers I don't know if that dent will restrict the exhaust or whatever, or even if that can be pulled out. Maybe someone on this forum will know. I have found Jason and the RX7store to have a few problems with some of my orders and stuff, but Jason ALWAYS comes through for the customer, so I am not BITCHING about the RX7store or Jason. So if I was Pissed earlier, I think I had a right to be and before you get up off your throne and realize you are not the great dispenser of everything that is good, proper and wholesome, put your self in my position and take a chill, ok?

Thanks for all that replied anyway.
That dent shouldn't noticeably affect your air flow. I'd use that dented intercooler any day of the week over the POS stock intercooler I'm running now. Jason, are you going to have a scratch and dent sale after you settle with UPS?

Hey...just so you know I used to work at UPS. And **** gets thrown a lot, whether you put a fragile sticker or not.
Items can get messed up with out the box getting mangled. Make sure the packing inside the box minimizes the amount of force the items recieve. I now work part time at an aerospace company in the shipping department...now UPS is the enemy

your post did kind of sound like you where bitching about the rx7store...which I dont really give a hell...not really sticking up for the store ..but jumping to conclusions as a whole...which seems to be happening far to often in the forum lately...
I realize you are pretty bummed since you have an appointment to get this all installed tomorrow and I know sometimes it's can be hard to appointments at Ricks (I use him too)
Ok your venting...just chose your words wisely and maybe post in the lounge next times...and sarcastics ******** may stay away
