Pettit power pulley install help!!!!!

Alright first off I just recieved the Pettit lightened power pulley kit. Oh and my Greddy pulley kit too. I had to take off my alternator to get that pulley off. I brought it to a shop to have them use a air impact wrench, and put the new one on. That is what everyone told me to do, but how can you take the other pullies off. I still have to take off the water pump pulley and main drive pulley, and no you do not have to pull out the ecentric shaft bolt or whatever its called. Just the 4 bolts around it. So if someone could give me a clue on how to get them of that would be great. I know lots o people have the Greddy kit, so how did you get that water pulley off.

Thanks

I used a 1/4 inch drive ratchet, with a short 10 mm socket for the waterpump pulley. having the belt on and tight helps hold the pulley still but if the belt is off one of those strap wrenches would come in handy. same wrench with a 10mm deep socket or 3 inch extension and the same short socket should work. If you cant turn it try 3/8 sizing. Sometimes you just have to look at the job you have to do and try to figure it out. They are just bolts you know.

To change the Greddy water pump pulley, it's only 4 bolts. I think they are 10mm but I could be mistaken.

I know there 10mm and I know there are 4 bolts. My problem is the damn pulley keeps spinning when I got to losen the bolts. I cant really put teh belt back on because I already took off the airpump. So how can I loosen the 4bolts without the pulley spining. Keep the comments coming please

Use a strap wrench like I said before to hold the pulley.

Read this for the main:

"ANYONE changing a front pulley, or loosening the front eccentric shaft bolt for ANY reason!, needs to be aware of what can go wrong with the torrington thrust bearings inside the front cover/front of engine!!"

Good Luck, Jeff

with the pettit power pulley you do NOT have to remove the ecentric shaft bolt. That is one of the main reasons I chose there setup. My ? is I still cant get the stupid regular bolts off of it. Just like the 4 bolts I cant get off the water pump. But Im hoping the starp wrench will do the trick. Anyone have any suggestions left, or is the strap wrench the way to go?

I just put a flat head or rod between the two bolts and loosen the other two and repeat.

Was easy.
