FLOWMASTERS

I got a custom exhaust. I have a series 40 delta flow muffler. It's mean sounding. Although I have a V8. I'm sure it would be mean on a rotary. It's flowmasters.

That's going to be easier said than done (when you actually get your car).

Those movies rule.
the only god carmovies you can find (though there are a couple stupid moments, that i will agree on)
in the first movie you can hear the 10-8-10 boost and it sounds like an rotary when it idles. hmm

I just put on my stock muffler again with the cat gutted it sounds nearly the same except the exhaust note is more noticable and a bit deeper. Quite and yet still desirable.

Ok Im honestly not going to bother with posting a sount clip because it sounds way better yet, still similiar. Imagine hearing a car with an RB Dual Tip just behind a wall thats exactly how it sounds. Very nice sound, something to do cheap and if you dont have the cash.

Quick idea

I know most people only know veilside for their bodykits...which kick *** for the '7 but their exhaust system tho very costly (about 1800 dollars) is the most kick *** sound ive ever heard i saved up forever jus to try it out on my 20b conver. and not only did it sound good i was gettin some amazing results from the power!

gutting sounds like it would be a good idea.

not a rotary but my friend's 3rd gen prelude backed into a curb and made a huge gash in his muffler. all of the **** from the resonator came out eventually and he has perhaps the best deep exhaust note i have ever heard on any 4 cylinder, at idle, at wot, sounds like a beast. nothing like the usual shaver in a metal trash can sound. and it was free.

I know. I just thought it was pretty funny that "Dom's Car" supposedly has a VeilSide exhaust on it, and I wasn't able to find a reference to one anywhere else.

Heck, for $1,800, maybe it was a Motec system exhaust...

Veilside does make exhausts, however, I don't think they are very popular. I've never heard one so I have no idea what they sound like. They have two exhaust applications on their site, but only one catering to the FD3S.

They must not be "all that" or everyone would be wanting one.

Hehe, that's a fancy way of saying "no one wants it, so we don't make it anymore".

I've seen one FD w/ dual exhaust... had two 3" or 4" tips..one on each side. And it looked wayy too much.
How sure are you about that man? I've only seen one other FD with duals (ABFlug). It requires wayyy to much work to make it happen.

Oh I didn't see it in person...there was a pic posted of the FD on a thread a while back. I honestly couldn't tell you if it was the ABFlug FD or not. But it def. had 2 single tip exhausts...one on each side. It was waaay too much. Didn't look nice at all.

Maybe Mahjik can find the thread...

The only one I know for sure that isn't photoshopped is the ABFlug car. There was a photoshopped image of a car (I think it was the Area 51 car), and there is this photo which I'm not sure if real or not:

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/attach...postid=1039042

There was a guy making a true divided exhaust, but both tips were still on the same side of the car:

I like that 1st pic...looks interesting. Too much like the corvette exhaust tho...and a Shelby...I forget what it's called. The new super car...not the cobra or mustang shelby from back in the day (if anyone's ever seen one... i got lucky and actually saw it on the road once!!)

But, those aren't the pics that I had seen.
Mahjik, can you post a pic of the ABFlug car? Maybe that's the pic I saw...

The pettit racing car is a photoshop job?!?! I've seen that one, but I thought it was real...

That ABFlug car I've seen before, but it's not the pic I'm talkin about hehe

The one I saw looked more like the pettit racing one...it had a stock rear, I think the car was red, and I don't believe the exhausts were angled. They were on opposite sides of the car tho (not together like the ABFlug car).

I'mma find that pic...

Apexi here, car sounds unbeleivably great, downpipe changed, cat has been taken out so its free flowing.

probably cheaper to buy a steel pipe 10 cm in diameter and bolt it on :P
I will get some pics of my car up soon just have to take the pics.

I know the pic you're talking about but that's a while back and for some reason the search function doesn't seem to pick up everything from the past/or some of the semi-old posts are lost because I have some troubles finding some of my own previous posts. That's neither here nor there though, but the photo of the car you're refering to was photoshopped to see what it would look like. I remember the big discussion.

Personally I think duals look dumb just because I'm used to seeing one muffler, but do what you wish.
