(One of many reasons why I hate ricers/hondas/2f2f bullshit) But that is one of my peevs. But when I get an RX-7 what would be a good looking quiet exhaust?

chazzy, good looking quiet exhaust? Racing Beat or PFS. Racing beat comes in either dual or singal tip and looks great if you want to keep that stock look. It sounds a little better than stock exhaust. The PFS is a little louder and comes in a singal tip. It doesn't look stock but its not a huge exhaust either. My PFS with a mid pipe and down pipe sounds great . It is not to loud at idle but sounds beefy at WOT. It is not loud until about 4500rpm.

cool, i'd probably go for the racing beat then. if it looks closer to stock. I saw some of the pics on cars and it seems cool. I think from what i've picked up, that replacing all the cats with dp's/mp's is alot better for the car but it makes it louder. Would replacing the cats along with putting on the Racing Beat, would that make it pretty loud or is the racing beat still pretty quiet? Because like I said before, if I ever have to replace the exhaust on my lude, I'll hunt for a stock honda exhaust before I put a can on there. Now if on the RX-7 the RB is just a little louder, then that is fine, but I love to hear my engine when I'm revving high. I think that sounds better than exhaust.

And YES, you MUST get a MP. I have DP/MD and HKS CF TI, and she sounds absolutely beautiful. A very deep throaty sound at low rpms, and the beefiest/throatiest scream I've ever heard at WOT. Man I love it...
I wanna see if I can manage to get a clip of that...

You should be cool with the racing beat with mid pipe & down pipe. It shouldn't be to load or at least you most likely won't get bothered by cops. With my PFS with mid pipe & down pipe, I don't get bothered. Its only loud @ about 4,500-5,000 rpm's and its not crazy loud like a ricer exhaust, its a beefy deeper note. I would post a sound clip of my exhaust but I can't figure out how to do it.

I don't think you can host a video clip on the forum. I mean c'mon...the size limit on pictures is small enough as it is! lol

I have the Thermal Research and Design cat-back. It has a real deep sound to it and it relatively quiet at idle. During WOT it keeps its deep tone and is not even close to being as loud as other FD's I have heard. On the freeway the drone isn't bad at all. I have been in a lot of other cars that the drone was WAY worse.
For looks, it has a mid sized tip on it(3''- 4'') and it is very very polished. Also has the Thermal Design stamp on it aswell.
After searching, I found that very few people have ever had this exhaust. I'm not really sure why this is but I imagine it is because no one carries or advertises it. Thermal generally caries to the sport compact car crowd.
Here is one shop that has it...it's pretty expensive.

Anyone know where I would go to host my clip on another web site?

Mitch, sorry I haven't gotten a clip yet. Things have all of a sudden gotten VERY hectic...
Unless they're very small and subtle dual tips (like on a 300zx), it'll look really crappy (IMHO)
I've seen one FD w/ dual exhaust... had two 3" or 4" tips..one on each side. And it looked wayy too much.
I dunno what it is, but on other cars, it looks fine and symmetrical. On FDs, it doesn't look as nice. That, and I'd imagine you're gonna put on a y-pipe somewhere to get the exhaust pipe coming out of the driver side of the rear bumper, which will only cause turbulence and decrease the flow of air. Not good if you're going for maximum freeflow (which equates to maximum hp)
