I have a RB dual with dp and mp. It is so much more civilized than my greddy SP was with the same set up.
In non-sequential it still sounds a little "fluffy" at low rpm, but once the boost builds, it sounds great. In sequential, it sounds good all the time.
(I have a seq/non-seq switch)

Anyways, an exhaust is an exhaust. All that matters is getting heat and waste away from the motor. It doesn't matter how it sounds.

Im with talljosh on this one.I also own a blitz nur spec and it sounds great. Not ricey like all those civics. Its deep and throatty. Not to mention its all stainless steel and only costs 350.Plus it comes with a new gasket to replace the old one.Its the best bang for the buck.

I've never heard of a rotary runnin' straight pipes. Could be interesting to hear. I've heard and rebuilt big blocks and ran straight pipes, glass packs, open headers, etc.... I want to hear what a rotary (which is an oversized pissed of weed wacker...hehe) would sound like with that kind of setup. (Sorry about the crack on the rotary. I love 'em to death so i'm allowed to make fun of them.)

Honestly, sound is one of my top two gripes about the rotary. The RB dual tip is the best exhaust I have heard, but obviously I haven't heard everything. It gives it almost an exotic sound.

Anyone else have clips of their exhaust whether it be the SP, N1, rbdual, nur spec, or anything else. I liked that rbdual w/ mp and dp, but id love to hear what it sounds like at WOT. Also, whats the Borla XR-1 Race? Also wylie if you have any sort of vid or sound clip id love to hear that.

I am very pleased.

i'll try to get a clip of my fd w/ nurspec (WHICH I LOVE) when I put the new oil pan on and replace the 5th gear synchro. So, we're talking about a week, maybe a week and a half. Let me know if you will still be interested at that time.

I have a PFS exhaust and I think it sounds great. It is louder than the racing beat but quiter than the popular honda used exhaust like Greddy, apexi, hks. Not that those arn't sick exhausts, but if your looking for a louder, deeper sound over the stock system and don't want to get hassled by every cop in town, I suggest the PFS.

its personal preference. i prefer the rotary chainsaw sound to the v8 boat/truck sound.
if you like scaring the **** out of people. no cat and dual n1s are insanely loud and scary... my friend has the hks carbon thing. i think the n1s sound much better. but too loud and annoying for me though since i live in a neighborhood with little kids and on the highway i cant really hear anything besides the bwaaaaaaah. the WOT is amazing, just i wish it wasnt so loud at 2-3k rpm...
im using racing beat which is just a soft deep sound and sounds pretty good at wot and it looks very nice. small and stock looking.
however, i'm really interested in the powertone tips. i think that has the best sound.
if you want dual n1s. i have mine for sale.

Now that I checked out the clip again. For some reason the blitz sounds totally different in real life than when its recorded. If you want a close comparisson I would say the blitz sounds closest to the hks carbon fiber one.
I would record it for you except that I dont have the capability to do so.Just go for it man.I remember when I was all scared to get my exhaust system because I didnt want mine to sound ricey.Stay away from the apex ones. Those sound ricey. The greddy ones are the worst sounding out of all of them.I havent heard the titanium greddy yet.So it may be different.
The best sounding exhausts as far as deep and throatty would have to be the hks carbon fiber and the blitz nur spec. But the blitz wins out as far as price.

Lol,
I guess I would be an outcast. I hate loud exhaust. I like hearing engine over exhaust. So I would want to buy good looking quiet dual tipped exhaust. Like on my current Prelude, even though it's a honda I'd buy a stock exhaust before I ever put an aftermarket one on because everyone made for Honda's are loud as **** and normally sound like a tin can full of hornets. (One of many reasons why I hate ricers/hondas/2f2f bullshit) But that is one of my peevs. But when I get an RX-7 what would be a good looking quiet exhaust?
