Well I've got my rx7 all safe in a secret place now, but after driving it to the ICBC claim center for the adjuster to look at it, the ******* ignition is thrashed. Luckily it doesn't look like I'll need new keys or locks or anything, but they're going to have to replace the little plastic cylinder because the spot where the tip of the key goes has been reamed into a friggin circle.

As for the whole killing discussion, I have to say I just don't care what happens. :P

Unfortunately the situation around here is not limited to vehicles; I have defended this very house from a home invasion about 2 years ago, someone tried to break in and attack me with a screwdriver. I repelled him without killing him but IMO it's totally outrageous for that kind of behavior to happen and not have the area put under police lockdown. The crime never used to be bad and still isn't all that bad, but every once in a while thieves and crack heads get very brazen and attempt things like this.

I'm not moving so the thieves better be willing to sacrifice their lives if they want a try at stealing my cars or entering my home.

I'm with him^^^
You don't leave an FD outside, they belong in a garage. Previous owner of my car had the same problem except they trashed all the inside. Now my baby is stored where she belongs.

I dont know if you guys read my post on the super big picture thread but I had my steering wheel and shift **** stolen from me AT A CAR SHOW.

It was NOPI Nationals too. We were all at the awards ceremony picking up awards and when we got back, the wheel and **** were gone.

The car was closed up, but not locked up. Im just furious at the thought that I brought my car out for them to see and someone in the crowd has the ***** to steal from me. Ive been doing this show thing for a good 9 years and this is the first anything like this has ever happened.

I was lucky that the other car that towed out with me used the same steering wheel hub I did. Otherwise, I havent a clue as to how I would have gotten it home...

I don't think so, there's no difference between a JDM Rx-7 and a USDM Rx-7 other than the airbags introduced in the later year.

Besides ICBC doesn't even have the intelligence to add JDM variants of cars into their system; it was a huge pain for me to explain to them how to register my rx7 as an FD instead of an FC due to their crappy system. That may be the autoplan broker's fault though. Wouldn't worry about it.

Unfortunately I don't have regular access to a garage nearby; the car is usually in my driveway. I actually had a 2 way alarm system on the way when the break in happened but it's still not here yet. I'm hoping that no one attempts another break-in in the future but if they do, and that 2 way alarm is installed, that thief better start praying because his skull has multiple appointments with my fists.

Just hoping insurance will fix all the damage. They're already trying to screw me on some of the plastics around the door handle. I've got lots of pictures though.
